Hi Liam, You are making some nice progress on your ambulance. If it's not to late, you could always put a piece of thin sheet styrene over that panel with the sink marks. You should have great fun with that kit Liam. Eduard kits are good (IMO) but can be tricky with tolerances, but if you take your time, I'm sure you'll make an excellent job. Good luck with it. Cheers Bob 👍

Hi Liam,, I too prefer the green one but I think Airfix have boobed with the union flag as there are no red diagonals. Well done on both kits though, we all learn from our mistakes, cheers.

Hi Liam, I used white primer on the Saturn V rocket I built a few years back, it was a devil to see when putting the gloss white on. I think that you are right to use a light grey primer to provide a contrast for the white top coat, cheers.

Seems like very good value if you are going to use most of the bottles. Being enamels they should keep for a long time. With these kind of effects I try to focus on the actual colour rather than the often way too specific name AK give them - e.g. winter streaking grime is a middle-light brown colour that works in a variety of situations, not just on winter camo schemes.

Hi Liam, I tend to shy away from the big sets as I think there's stuff there that will never be used? I tend to target the products I want/need. I also find that Amazon, although convenient, are expensive. I tend use Vallejo similar products, which in my experience tend to be cheaper (I could be wrong?). I use a company here in the UK called Everything Airbrush - who stock the Vallejo Paints and Effects Materials that I use. Their postage rates are reasonable for shipping in the UK. Having said all that if the AK stuff suits what you are doing then the big set is a great investment, and you now have all those products to practise with. Interesting question though?

Hi Liam, I like AK products but find that supplies are sporadic here in the UK. The set you have bought is good value for money but is a lot to shell out in one go, I hope that you enjoy using them and that you find them useful.

Crazy price Liam for one bottle but I'm liking that AK paint set should keep you going for a bit 3.30 a bottle not bad better paying 17 quid a bottle and the end of the day shopping around does pay of enjoy the model shop 👍

Hello! LJ Scale Models. I saw your videos and was impressed by the quality of your content. However, after analysis, I noticed there needs to be improvement for getting more views and subscribers. You are working hard but the main motive to reach an exact audience is not fulfilled. You are working for your audience if the video can't reach them. That's a waste of your energy and time also. I will show the problem in your video and share how to fix it.

This is a lovely kit, I thoroughly enjoyed building mine. The reason for the strange packaging is because it's an Academy kit, made for Airfix, enjoy building yours, cheers Liam.

Not got to that part yet but part A 4 that goes on the rear panel, can you show me how that goes on? The instructions are very vague and a completed rear panel isn’t shown afterwards as it is in some other kits. I think my kit may be faulty because it doesn’t seem to have an obvious place for it to go. It looks like the part is supposed to extend up over the side and the top of it should be level with both the exhaust parts but the fixing tab and corresponding fixing hole does not allow for this. Pretty confused!

Looks like a good little kit, especially given the time it was orginally released. Interesting that British version has skis on the wheels. Living in Canada, I think I have only seen the DHC-2 Beaver and DHC-3 Otter on floats in our northern lakes/bush country.
