This is the way baroque and classical vocal music should be sung. Normally, wihout an unsteady vibrato of a semitone, as most primadonna's do. The tone was set by the sadly missed Patricia J. Luckily her work is carried further.

I can't believe my bad luck that I didn't get into opera until few months later. Because I do live in Kraków and I managed to see Alessandro Moccia directing Idomeneo in the 2024 edition, but now when I have discovered your singing for myself just few weeks prior I may never, or never in the near future, have this opportunity... bad luck indeed. Wonderful! This is one of my favourite Händel-arias. I've listened to it countless times on my Jennifer Larmore CD. you sing it so naturally, and the accompaniment is very elegant and transparent, like the great Händel's music. It's a joy to my ears!

I was disappointed. There are some quite good performances of this wonderful aria out there and this is definitely not one of them. The singing lacks dimension and expressiveness, no attention to the words, it all sounds the same. This is how beginners sing. Just going though the notes, nothing more.
