Hi! Yes, the Manly Ferry is definitely kid friendly! It’s a smooth ride most of the way with plenty of seating, and kids usually love being on the water. Once you get to Manly, there’s lots for families to enjoy, including the beach and plenty of places to grab a bite. Visiting the Opera House is a must too. I hope you have an amazing time in Sydney! I absolutely love the Manly ferry as well! I’ve been traveling on it since I was a young child, and it never fails to bring back wonderful memories. There’s something so special about the journey, from the stunning views of Sydney Harbour to the excitement of arriving at Manly. 👍

Wow, what an incredible experience that must have been! Sitting in the tail gunner’s turret on that Lancaster back in the late ’60s would have been unforgettable. The Lancaster has such a storied history, and I can only imagine how amazing it felt to be in that spot all those years ago. Thanks so much for sharing that piece of history with us!

Thanks so much for sharing that bit of history! It’s amazing to think about the Lancaster’s journey from being parked at Perth Airport to its restoration at the museum. Knowing it’s been brought to taxi condition is a huge accomplishment, even if it can’t fly. These aircraft hold so much heritage, and it’s great to see them preserved and appreciated in this way. @johnnyduplantis, It’s true that Western Australia is not only behind the rest of the country but probably the world when it comes to some trends. Want to know a little secret? I actually love Starbucks coffee! 😂

@@OutandAboutwithCraig The whole of Australia is behind the rest of the world when it comes to trends. It's not just a WA thing. I never understood that as someone who comes from overseas. The locals ability in Perth to talk the place down. It's a very British thing to do. I'm not anti Starbucks, but who cares if WA / Perth hasn't had something that Sydney and Melbourne have had for 10 or 20 years. It's not a big deal and in-fact a lot times it can be better not to have big overseas players in your market. That way the local market develops and has something that is different than anywhere else, and if companies like Starbucks do turn up, then the local firms usually stand a chance of surviving. Not quite the same reason, but it's interesting how there are more 24 hour supermarkets in Perth than there are in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. By not giving Coles and Woolworths carte blanche to trade when they wanted back in the early 2000s it allowed the local market IGAs and Spudshed to grow and survive and provide a service the other two cannot, which face it, if they could, they would until they had crushed the competition and then they would dial back to hours so Perth was just like the other cities.
