Kõrge kalorsusega toiduained annavad sooja ühtemoodi nii kõhus kui ahjus. Tuleb osata ainult põletada.
Kalau boleh tau, mesinya apa?😅

This is not aerogel. This is not made by sol-gel technology. This is SiO2 structure similar to silica aerogel but 1000x coarser.
IS 99.8% AIR (and 0.2% solid)

what happen if you lick aerogel? would it act like dry ice?
It sticks on wet surface, then disintegrates. Process is irreversible.
What about the aerogel matting? How does that stand upto petrol?
Hydrofobic aerogel will absorb its volume of petrol or oil. Aerogel is destroyed in the process.
Neeme Vaino as a sport.. could you do a video of this please..

how long is the blade ? is the gyutoh ?
Wow that's amazing!
aerogel is almost completely inflammable because of its level of thermal conductivity meaning, it can be burned. we've never encountered anything that would be close to being a high enough tempature to burn it. the closest thing would be the sun. so in a sense this is on of the only inflammable solids on earth. pure graphite being another.
This sample was soaked in gasoline. This was the demonstration of selective adsorption of mixture of water and oil. Surface treated aerogel is water repellent but lipophilic. After burning, the silica skeleton remained cracked because of thermal and surface tension stresses. Graphite oxidizes slowly above 700°C, though it melts at 4000°C in inert atmosphere.
Cool vid. Hop on to my channel and check out my Miyabi knives. ;) Cheers from Warsaw, Poland.
Keep working guys...
Aerogel is as heat-resistant as asbestos, or possibly even better. It's not the aerogel burning here, it's the fuel.
What's the tune playing??
I like the balloon reflection on the helmet.
That is so very interesting. The light is exposed like a smoke or fog would do, yet the light doesnt seem to really pass through the Aerogel...it just stops at the edges.

SCIENCE!!!!!!! *Tears off shirt*
OHH MY GOOOD. I THINK I MIGHT JUST NERDGASM ALL IN MY SHORTS. 99% of the people who clicked this expected something different.
no way. if you use any transparent solid, your laser beam will be splitted at the edge of the rectangle for tens of degrees. Only aerogel is capable to split it under 10°
you could use a transparent glue and still have the same result...
seems that you miss the whole point of this demonstration. you have no way to repeat this show but with aerogel.
OMG, IT'S SOOO DRAMATIC
thats really cool!! do you know how the new aerogel is made (airloy x100)??? keep it up!
pigem nii et leidsin laheda piloodi kes heast südamest pardale võtab. kuigi ta ütles et kui autojuhi load on olemas siis piloodi paberid pole ka enam kaugel.
ok 1. learn to speak like a regular human being 2. learn to read
Seeing kids excited by science: Priceless
Haha, this is really cool. I've looked for Aerogel in quite a lot of places but it seems to be really expensive, oh well. Still, it's incredibly intriguing.
...Make a light saber, anyone?
This aerogel is homemade, if you wonder how, see my other posts.
Yes, certainly! Can you make optical aerogel piece with 3 pairs of parallel facets? This video was to demonstrate this impossible achievement.
I'm going to make a shit ton of this stuff and imbed lasers in them. I'm going to have the coolest pot head den ever.
no thank you. like i said before ill wait for a video of it to be posted
good luck! actually, only hydrophilic aerogel acts like this, hydrophobic repels water. if you like i can mail you both.
ill just wait for a person to make a video of it
buy one and try
what if you put it on your tongue
This project was completely private funded.
money down the tube for science.
oh... I really only clicked this because i thought the image was of a Lightsaber....

And thus was the birth of the Lightsaber :)
