What GPU do you have? My 6700XT gets 15% higher fps in RDR2 with DX12 over Vulkan. It didn't used to be that way. If you like AFMF, you'll LOVE AFMF2. You can use it in the beta drivers AMD has now. It doesn't stop working when you use the mouse and the latency has dropped extremely significantly. AFMF2 is amazing.

@@Hero.S Yeah, you can download the beta drivers and get AFMF2 on the 6000 series and above. It's far, FAR better than AFMF. MUCH less lag from frame gen. Higher quality. It doesn't stop the frame gen when you move the mouse around fast. You can probably search for the drivers and find them easily. I can't remember what they are called. Worth giving them a shot to experience AFMF2 if you have RDNA2 (6000 series) or newer.

Depends on the game, now. Vulkan DEFINITELY used to be an AMD godsend. Now, Nvidia does much better with Vulkan on Atlas Fallen whereas AMD gets the same performance whether using DX12 or Vulkan. So, it's always worth checking the both out, Nvidia or not. Could depend on which GPU you have. 1000 series/1600 series/2000 series/3000 series or 4000 series Nvidia. Used to be the same for Polaris (RX480 8GB, etc.) Those cards LOVED Vulkan and did better with Vulkan than Nvidia. Like in Doom and Doom Eternal, Vulkan made those AMD cards SCREAM with ease. There needs to be more games utilizing Vulkan before it dies off like Mantle. I think Mantle was really the forerunner for Vulkan, but nonetheless, AMD drivers don't even support Mantle anymore, and I'm worried that Vulkan isn't getting the love it deserves and is soon to be dropped. Microsoft doesn't want that competition for their DX11/DX12 if you ask me.

I actually planned this to be a 7900xtx build but last minute I decided on the MSI suprim 4080. Waiting to see what AMD comes out with in the next year or two maybe go all AMD.

the ram looks like corsair dominator and the graphics card is a msi suprim which is a 4090 he also looks like they have a corsair water block so its probably a Hydro Series H60 Liquid CPU Cooler and the mother board is msi mighht be a MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI but Im not sure but its a very nice pc thats for sure

well, the z790 has the lcd temp display in the corner and you can see the purple dragon which indicates it's the z790 carbon and not the ace@@namefame5837

Ya, that's a hard choice. I think if the game feels better that's more important than a frame counter.

I saw other videos Red Dead Redemption 2 vulkan vs dx12. Some was dx12 was better than vulkan and some was vulkan better than dx12 fps. It depends on computer rig and not everybody got same, hmm that odd with this one game lol.

My dx12 had higher fps with 4070 but more bugs and glitches so I just stick to vulkan

that is in fact simple choice, if you want to use texture mods or any mods at this point use vulkan, since they are not compatible with dx most of the time

I did exactly the same thing for a year before I got my 4080. The 3060ti is actually pretty capable. Dlss makes a huge difference though.

@@kgtech007 40fps is still really playable but im looking to upgrade from my 3060ti. When i upgrade i want to double my performance with the upgrade. Would you say the 4080 is roughly double the perf of the 3060ti or more? Also, is it worth it would you say?

@@Kyzerii ya, I had my settings to where in cyberpunk I was at 45 to 55 dlss on quality. I was pretty happy over all. But yes the 4080 basically doubled my fps. And with frame gen sometimes tripled my performance. It is a lot of money though. But now with prices on GPUs dropping it may be worth it.

I set everything to the ultra preset. I have done settings on physco though.

its similar to 60 those 30 but if u have dips in that 30 then its unplayable

I don't mind FG in games like this. It's not super fast paced imo. It doesn't bother me in this game at all.

The price. 4090 is significantly faster than 4080, but 4080 is not significantly cheaper.

It's expensive. But it does great. The performance is great imo. Definitely expensive though. Especially ones like the MSI suprim x that I have.

@@baglayan Depends on the country in EU i had gotten a 4080 for 1103eur including tax and 4090 began at 1683eur for a cheapest vendor model...
