Kyle Lombard and Bill Davidson, both Forest Health Specialists at the NH Division of Forests and Lands, have been creating pockets of ash refugium using chemical treatments. In this video, they discuss their strategy of using a systemic application of emamectin benzoate for trees threatened by EAB as well as other options, including organic options.

On December 11th, 2023, from 1-2:30 pm, APCAW held a Zoom session to hear updates from the Maine Forest Service and organizational partners about actions being taken to protect ash. We also facilitated an open forum for anyone who would like to share or ask questions about ash inventory, ash seed collection, EAB monitoring, and ash management.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of how collecting ash seeds can help provide a future for ash trees in Northeastern forests.
