Awesome video! The game is looking really kool. Like the art style of your game. Also the boss fight is on point. Really like the different type of attack the boss does and having different boss stages. That will keep the player busy fight the boss. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
Thank you for this comment, means a lot :)
This is awesome, im gonna make a 2d zelda inspired game, with modern movement
wow sounds cool! good luck on your process!
Interesting, can't wait for the obligatory poisoned swamp lol
Just found your channel and your very cool and this game is sick the simple art makes me happy also I am your 100th sub lol so congrats on that lol
Thank you!
this game is just so much more advanced than the cover :o, I don’t really know where to share this to so maybe I’ll just do fan art if that’s ok?
Wow that woud be really cool! You know what I dont have a background for the main menu yet....... If I like the art perhaps ill use it! You can send it to chazorstudios@gmail.com
@@Chazor_ thanks! you won’t regret it!
@@Chazor_it’s finished btw
Amazing progress! I love the boss and am excited for the demo (I’ll def be playing!!) Also I have one suggestion, maybe make the transition to the second phase a little more noticeable, maybe you could add like a scream and screen shake or smth, or maybe kinda like how false knight drops those things from the sky.. you could have him drop the orbs from the sky..? You didn’t fully show the boss so maybe you already added a transition but I think it could be cool to have one
Great suggestion! Will look into it
@@Chazor_ Also what software do you use for art?
@@GoldenEdits656 i personally use krita

Great video, subscribed!
Thanks!
I always love watching an honest and to-the-point devlogs. Watching these always tell me to never rush my own gamedev journey. It's also scary to think there was be so much plateaus in your journey even after 6 months. I know staying consistent and motivated is hard, but I also know things take time, and that's completely OK. Anyways, love the video! Good luck on the game.
Great take, thank you so much for watching :)
this video and your progress has motivated me to keep going. Sub and like!
Appreciate it🙏
I have been struggling with learning code for the past idk years, but to see that you are going smoothly with learning piece by piece how to create this amazing project you made! I have high hopes for you and that I’ll make it to your level of progress 🎉
Trust me this is not going smoothly at all, i've actually broken this project more times than I can count haha. What's important is realizing it's part of the development and keep going. I hope you can take something from this and I wish you the best of luck :)
great job, pal! keep it up!
Thanks :)
Because of copyright reasons the video wil be silent from 7:24 - 7:36. It was initially a song I use for the demo of my game and some sound effects but sadly I had to remove it. Thanks for all the overwhelming support!
IM UR 69TH SUBSCRIBER 🏆nice
😂😂 thanks
Cool video and nice journey so far :) Keep up the work!
Will do :)
Keep going! Take your time and make sure to take breaks when you need it.
Thanks! Will do :)
definitely not for the weak, keep at it. much better use of your time than playing the same brain dead game over and over.
100% agree
UA-cam recommended your video to me, and I found it quite interesting, so I decided to watch all your other videos. I have to say, it would be a shame if you gave up. Your game looks really cool, and with each video you upload, it's improving noticeably. Starting a UA-cam channel is never easy, and you've clearly taken feedback from your early videos and improved a lot. I'd say your videos are pretty good now. While some haven't performed well, others like this one have. This is a great opportunity to analyze what works and what doesn't and learn from it. It seems to me that you might lack confidence, but I see the potential for a great game if you finish it, and a supportive community is forming around it because 100% of the comments I've seen are positive and encouraging. Keep it up, and when you release it, I bet you'll be glad you didn't abandon it.
Wow, thanks for all the kind words. Truly means a lot :)
I was also struggling in my game dev journey, wasn't feeling motivated to continue my projects, but seeing this type of videos always inspire me in some way, now I see what I was doing wrong thanks to you! So a big thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will follow your journey closely! Keep it up!
Comments like this motivate me to keep going, thank you!
Great video! I think almost everybody hits that point on youtube where they realize they are trying to get views rather than do what they actually wanted to do, glad you came out on the better side of it!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one😂 thanks for your comment!
Love finding new game dev channels! The art style of this game looks awesome. Keep up the hard work on both game dev and the videos. You've got it!
Thanks for your comment, means a lot :)
W vid
Thanks🙏
Just wanted to say i really appreciate this video, i've just started my own game dev journey after having tried a year or so ago and now i have a game jam in 12 days, im hoping to make videos like yours afterwards and show my own journey after the game jam. Keep up the good work, and im excited to try this game out once its released.
Good to hear! Good luck on your journey :)
Reminds me of when I learned how to make videos, although I’m not a game dev, your videos were similar to my experience in content creation Just know that your views won’t skyrocket, it’ll take time because you need to learn based on what hasn’t performed well. It took me awhile to get the hang of editing, thumbnail creation, and engagement.
Cool to hear! Do you have any advice for me so I can improve my video's?
@@Chazor_ I’d recommend making your music a bit louder, and adding more stuff in the background. For example, say you are explaining how a system works, make a visual explanation of it in your video or game style, and make it easy to understand (this is called showing, not telling, although it’s better to do both of those at the same time in this case). That’ll make your viewers understand your content, and enjoy it more. I’d also recommend that when you are talking about a sprite or visual, put it on screen with a smooth graph, and put some satisfying sound effects. (I’ve seen you add this, but it’s less eye-catching and doesn’t have the same impact as something like that. I’d recommend looking up a tutorial on it) I’ll do some research tomorrow on some popular dev logs and give you some advice, but this is just some advice out of my experience with basic content creation, not very helpful but I’ll share some more later.
Liking, commenting, and subscribing so more people can see this game get developed!
Appreciated 🙏
your progress in game dev inspires me, you just got another subscriber :)
Thanks!
nice video, hope you keep it up with the updates, was a surprise UA-cam recommend it :)
Will try my best
Hey man I just want to say that I have loved this series, I tried game dev for about 2 - 3 years but it just couldn't click for me, I have decided to give up (Maybe I'll try again but maybe its just not for me). I know your not getting super high views or anything but your work has real passion and I can tell that you really put effort into this. I wish you the best and hope you continue on this path and are able to find that motivation in you and keep working hard!
This comment means a lot to me man, really appreciate it!
Great job! Your game looks awesome, and it's obvious you put a lot of effort into making it. Keep up the good work, you're bound to do well. Looking forward to more updates and good luck with your development! 😉 P.S I'll share the link to your channel with my friends
Thanks! means a lot :)
@@Chazor_ He did, in fact, share the link with his friends Btw, why did you choose unity and not godot? It seems pretty popular nowadays
@@araati_the_fox I chose Unity over Godot at the time because my favorite gamedev youtubers were using it and the amount of help and tutorials that can be found is more and better than Godot. But Godot seems like a really good engine and after this project has ende I plan on trying it out for sure! Thanks for your comment :)

Once again great work
Appreciate it 🙏
New sub. It's always nice to see the progress of another dev.
Appreciate it!
Love the enemy design!
Thanks :)
Damn, combat be looking good The only nitpick i have is that maybe the characters should have longer extremities, to be able to telegraph better. But maybe that would clash too much with your style, dunno Keep it up my man!
Thanks! you mean like better telegraphs so the parrying and dodging is easier?
@@Chazor_ exactly. I consider that's part of what gives fromsoft games such a good reputation, their enemies usually telegraph the attacks quite well, so it feels fair when they hit you.
@@juang.552 Great suggestion, I will definitely implement this! A more exaggerated load-up of a swing or strike is a good idea to make it feel fair.
Just letting you know, that i've got your video recommended by the algorithm and i really liked it. Love your work, i'd suggest working on your audio, so the narration sounds more clear. I feel like there's a bit of an echo in the background. I think it could be more enjoyable for some people to listen and you would appeal to a wider audience. Keep on the good work, cheers!
Thank you so much for this comment! I understand your feedback on the audio, more people have been saying this. I've been trying to fix it but apparantly it's not really working out yet. Think I might try recording a voiceover in something like audacity or something.
