Completing Air Dry Clay, Resin and Geode Themed Pieces!
Переглядів 792 місяці тому
I had several small unfinished pieces sitting around, so I dedicated a weekend to getting some completed. Once they were done I saw I was clearly in a geode mood. The small gray geode and the green geode slice were made using air dry clay, the pink by using an mdf geode slice. I made the full resin piece to go with some decor in my living room!

      😮 you're so right! I explained without showing and I don't have any diamond paintings at this time to provide a visual. I figured out much too late that cement has a cover you can peel off. You press the dotting tool in the cement, which helps make the tip sticky so you can easily pick up the diamonds. You press the tool in the block as needed while doing the puzzle to keep it sticky so you can pick up and place the pieces.

    • @VivezbienCreations
      @VivezbienCreations 11 місяців тому

      The acrylic ink seems to work so far. It takes longer to dry (probably due to there being no alcohol to aid the drying process). Since it's been a few weeks I feel more confident about using the glass in resin now and plan to do so this weekend!

    And what are you going to do with these dyed pieces of glass? I do glass fusing. Can these pieces be used in that application (fusing). Will you glue the pieces to something else like a mirror frame or glassware? The technique is wonderful, but what are the applications of the dyed material?

    • @VivezbienCreations

      Hi! I'm not sure about using them for glass fusing, but for myself I use them in some of my other crafts (mainly resin geode type pieces). These yellow ones I specifically used for a more colorful geode piece that I made about a year ago!

Also also u can put a mirror under that badboy n double up curing from the underside🤩🪞🌞& like someone else said too them chameleon powders, especially the No Name brands aren’t heavily pigmented so if u want that Color~Shift, ur gonna have to do it using a black/dark tinted color or u can mix it with a black pigment & pour it directly in but ur gonna need to work hard making sure it cures. U can paint the mold with the powder then pour a black transparent resin.
