this “song” sucks. not funny. classic old school tripe. This type of “humorous” song is meant to diminish the significance of Christmas to Christians. the song is sung by a non-Christian, of course. Go to Mexico during the Christmas holidays. you could learn a lot about how Christians really should celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Did these producers do something different to make their voices sound pitched up, compared to The Chipmunks' voices? You can tell that, with The Chipmunks, they recoded normal people's voices, and pitched them up. But this sounds like they didn't really change the pitch. I don't know how they make singers sound like chipmunks nowadays, (special vocoder effects??) but it sounds like that's what they did with this group, even though they didn't have that technology back then.

2:07 I thought that kind of thing only happened in Alabama. But I can understand why it happened here. And I like to think it is Speedy Gonzales, and that Santa Claus was Sylvester in disguise. (There are several Looney Tunes Christmas songs about that, but they involve Tweety, not Speedy.)

Mel Blanc was not only the best at voice characterizations , he was also a very nice man...I wrote him a fan letter many years ago and he sent me a autographed photo of himself with the loony tune characters, AND a personalized letter. I still have them to this very day, framed and displayed. RIP Mel, they'll never be another quite like you. I'm a fan forever.
