A quick look inside a 645 F7-B Electromotive Diesel Turbo-Supercharger (Blower). The clutch is a simple overriding sprag. The 12 cylinder EMDs shown have over 100k hours and the 16 cylinders have about 80k hours. These engines are undergoing scheduled 35k hour overhauls. This ship was built in the early 90s and still sees active service today.
