I know it sounds like BS, but... I've seen/heard/felt a missile fired from underground food storage location going east. This location was inside the borders of a small city (200K+ people) in Mid-America. Also seen car bombs (and investigation thereof) fall off the internet. Even the guy that owned the car (yes, he survived) couldn't find out anything. The military has assets hiding in plain sight, but they blend into the background. Camouflage isn't just a physical skill, it's also psychological. You see a rusty railcar, but you don't have the X-ray vision to see the MX cruise missile inside it, ready to remote fire. Or the building that looks like it belongs to the Highway Dept, but is actually an underground prison set to kill the prisoners in case of a breakout attempt. And this is all real, but you won't remember it when the sun is shining and you're hungry for a burger.
