Came across this lure that I won during a tournament. It's a handmade topwater crawler type lure similar to the Jackall pompadour. There were plenty of flounder and striped bass biting off the rocks at Indian River Inlet. While everyone else was casting heavy weights and live bait into the middle of the river we chose to go light (1/4 oz. round jig head) and artificial (6" Gulp Jerk Shad). The fishing was incredible and resulted in many fish landed.

We never planned to keep any so not sure what the size/creel limits are. They are posted at various locations on the pier. Even though the fish looked very similar it was a mix of bluefish, shad, and striped bass. Thanks for watching!

@@atbfishing2816 Give me a holler when your back. I visited the marina today after work and fished it for the first time and caught 8 flounder all shorts...very productive area for flounder
Will keep you in mind when I return to the area. Were you using live bait or plastics/lures? Most of the flounder bites happened within 10' of the rocks.

Awesome fishing. What's the best tide there for flounder fishing?
We had the most success with incoming high tide. When the water is ripping it traps the baitfish near shore and they become easy target for the flounder. The majority of the flounder were caught within 10 feet of the rocks. Good luck out there and thanks for watching!

Thank you for helping that snapper! Just a note, picking them up by the tail can damage their spines, and theres loads of other ways to pick them up to keep both you and the turtle safe, including picking them up by the back of the shell. Regardless, thank you for making sure that big guy made it safe back to his pond!

Yes, they do! As long as you don't cause a disturbance most golfers don't care if you're fishing. I typically only hit the golf course ponds when it's raining since no one is golfing. Thanks for watching!
