I think maybe there are mirrors in the goggles and so they reflect and could be used to reflect the writing on the board. Not sure how exactly but if you have two mirrors then you can read easily what is written.

Since it's so difficult to find the explanation in 70,000 comments I will take my guess, 99% correct: the pen is a sophisticated device that registers what Teller writes and communicates it to her, via the goggles or earpiece

This is one of those acts where you are even more impressed when you know how it's done :) Great show

Nice, but If I know that there is no magic and they have some trick, it is actually a boring act: you know that she already knows what to say and just tries to make it look like magic. I think making this act with more performance would increase the amount of fun the viewers would get. For example: revealing the numbers, she could read them from some random objects or cards, or adding some additional steps to reveal each one. Just add more "fog" into the performance!
