Why does the sound crescendo and diminiuendo throughout the whole musical selection? Anyhow, this takes me back to when I was a teenager attending Tigers games at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. During this time they either had Bill Fox, Dan Greer, Mike Ojeda, or Steve Schlesing playing the Hammond Concorde 2307 electronic organ until 1991. After that, David Berriman played his Yamaha DX7 through a TG 77 rack system in 1993 and 1994 and many times it included The Star Spangled Banner on the pipe and tremulant pipe voices of the organ which was really nice for the singer to stay on key while singing our National Anthem, along with all of us in the crowd as well. Nowadays, it is usually sung acapella and many people make a mess out of it by singing in the wrong key or adding flourishes that don't fit the original music notes at all.

Beautiful organ music and beautiful architecture. This church looks really similar to Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel in Wyandotte, MI, what is known as Polish Cathedral style.

It is really nice that you play this hymn for Stations Of The Cross on the organ at your church. You should have heard us at St. Agnes in Fowlerville this past Friday, we didn't have any organic musical accompaniment and everyone was singing this off key except for me, and it sounded awful. Organ is always best, but if not, piano, giutar, or just about any other instrument will do nicely in order to keep everyone singing in the proper key and sounding great.

Oops, this hymn is really titled Save Your People, O Lord, not Beyond The Days Of Hope And Mystery. I can understand that, because either yourself or someone else in the nearby area sounded like they weren't feeling well at all.

Nice full bodied organ tone that really highlights the 2', 1' and even shorter, higher pitched note range from the middle to end of the song.

Just a different text to the hymn tune also used for To Jesus Christ Our Sovereign King as I am familar with from decades ago. Did the cantor say welcome to St. Nicholas Parish? St. Nicholas, Bishop Of Myra is the original Santa Claus and his feast day is coming up on December 6.

Now, this is what I would consider to be a Romanesque basilica or also known as a Polish Cathedral style of church quite similar to my grandparents'' church in Wyandotte, MI (Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel now part of Our Lady Of The Scapular Parish).

Wow, that is a hymn that I haven't heard or sung since the 1980s while growing up at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville, MI. I still go there and am active as an usher since around 2000 and we sing a lot of the more recently written hymns but don't play our organ much at all (however, it really needs to be played much more often to keep it in tune and good working order). The Baldwin parlor grand piano is played all of the time but some more traditional hymns (such as this one), really sound best on an organ.

We weren't Catholic, but when we moved house when I was seven, we were accepted at a local Catholic school called Saint Paul's. Amazing, blessed place. This takes me all the way back to then. Probably my favourite, this song, along with 'All Things Bright and Beautiful'.

I haven't heard this text for Greensleeves hymn tune until you have sung it here, Alex. It is really similar to What Child Is This, yet a little different,. It could go well with Christmas, or any other holiday such as Christ The King, The Transfiguration Of The Lord , Easter, or Trinity Sunday.

NOTES: The version transposed +1 is originally inspired from the CD Version of A Charlie Brown Christmas, the TV Special released on 12/9/1965 and there are two versions of this carol on CD. To date though, it has not been seen on the TV Special version.

We usually sing phrases of this hymn after each Station Of The Cross while praying this devotion during the Lenten Season on Fridays of Lent. However, we just about always do it acapella, and used to be accompanied on guitar, but to have it on organ would be so much better.

Nice slight variation at the ends of some of the phrases. It seems to be played in a lower key at the ends of those phrases than how it is usually written and played.

Nice instrumental prelude during the Eucharistic Preface with audible intent for the congregation to participate in a part that is far too often only one that the priest recites without the congregation praying along with him.

Rest in the peace of Christ Rev. Fr. James W. Lothamer P.S.S. PhD. November 9, 1942 to November 1, 2019. He was our pastor at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville, MI from 2003-10 and this was one of his favorite hymns which is also written by a Catholic Priest named Rev. Fr. Rickey Manalo in a contemporary, yet classic traditional form.

A nice contemporary Communion hymn that sounds really good on organ. Bernadette Farrell is one of my favorite liturgical music composers in that most of her songs are really nice, pleasant to sing, and fitting for Mass in their content.

Definitely a unique and different version than the hymn from Bernadette Farrell that I am really familiar with. The refrain seems to be too repetitive in its lyrics and there are some key changes in phrases of the hymn that don't go too well with most of it (that minor key part in the middle).

One of my all time favorite hymns, especially for Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The lyrics were written by St. Thomas Aquinas in Latin and set to music by John Francis Wade. This is the full six verses whereas we usually would sing verses five and six for Eucharistic Adoration at St. Agnes.

Beautiful majestic choir voices here. They blend well with the cantor and take some of the shrill edginess from her voice, which is great anyway, probably the shrillness has to do with the sound system being set too loud. Nice medley by adding One Bread Of Life, One Cup Of Love to Christ Be Our Light also.

Almost looks like a Minibeb video of Augsburg Cathedral where they claim to have a 128' organ pipe that really moves a lot of air and blows everything around. I can tell that was the Easter Vigil Mass because it has to start after dark and those beautiful figural stained glass windows are black due to no outside light coming through them. The column capital lights work really well along with the wall sconce lights for the side aisles, and really contrast well with warm white light with the daylight white lighting in the altar area.
