After two weeks of being back, I finally got the hang of my new job as a sous chef on my friends island resort. So heres a short lil day in the life vlog for you guys :)
I have been watching Dior put out genuinely entertaining videos for a couple years which is how I came across your channel. You definitely stepped up your game in this one!! I am so grateful you put this experience into words. I really thought my transition from living in Tonga to living in the US was a singular experience to me because of my shortcomings and some gaps in the way I was raised. The way you explained that culture shock and literally starting from nothing is EXACTLY what I went through. The idealist and creative in me took second and third priority to just trying to become a stable adult and figure out how to manage social life. I really enjoy seeing your content and watching you explore the world. But I never doubted that you would come out on top and find yourself on a path to doing the things you want to do. A part of me thinks it would be really interesting to create a conversation with kids who went through the exact thing and what our versions of it overlap or divert. I think it creates a worldview in us that you don't find in our peers from America.

Malo Lelei 😊 from Utah. Hello 👋🏽 I just found your channel So far watch three of your videos and loved it and subscribed. I am Tongan but I was born here in the states I'm only been to Tonga twice I remember the first time I visit i was so fascinated when you heard the kids there talk in our native language because normally the ones that were born and raised in America dont speak Tongan Me being one of them LOL well. I can kind of speak and understand some but then there's a lot that I still need to learn. Anywho sorry to board you with my story. But just wanted to let you know that i enjoy channel.
