@@gustavgnoettgendue to the frame rate of the seeking being slightly slower than a full revolution, by seeking forward there is an illusion that the motor is spinning backwards and vice versa.

You misunderstand the workings of an engine. The cam and valves should be running at half the speed of the crank. There should also be a compression and power stroke. Half the valvegear speed. Half the duration of the lobes.
It's not an engine.

Out of all the ones you've done so far this is my favorite!!! How long did this take to do?
Thanx. Most of the objects in the scene were ones I'd already made (the speakers, door, books, etc.) or found online (the couch, chair, clock, etc.) so it only took a few hours to set it up, tweak the lighting and camera movement, run some test renders. Then I let it generate all the individual pictures (1200 of them) overnight.
Wish you'd showed the bedrooms.
