Broken Compass is a group loaded with musical talent. Both their cover and original songs are excellent. I hope that one day they break out of Northern California and go national.

This group is a very different and unique sounding bluegrass band with shades of jazz thrown in. Not my favorite number that they play but the talent still shines through. How did they get together and where did they find young Mei Lin who IMO is a wonderful creative musician. She hardly ever just taps the strings with her violin bow always preferring to add little fill ins to every song. Great group.

I believe that a dobro addition to this song when they record it would add the extra element. Mei Lin at age 18 is really contributing and doing her part well, a true prodigy. This is by far the most unique sounding band in all of bluegrass. One day this young group should do a video about how they all got together and formed Broken Compass. I would guess Kyle Ledson had something to do with that.

Great to hear that the group had a busy and prosperous year. Time to find management to book you guys on a national tour. You deserve it. Your videos are a great listen but many of us in the East would appreciate seeing your live show. You might try attending SPGBMA Nashville at the end of February for exposure and to hook up with management. .

This group not only writes, sings and plays great but their rendition of this song is much better than the original. Such quality professionalism deserves a national tour and I hope that they get one. I am most impressed with Mei Lins fiddle playing. She is the most creative bluegrass player that I have ever heard. She never taps but always creates fill ins. Amazing talent. .

A pleasantly different and unique young bluegrass band that blends four distinct styles, with players of different backgrounds. I would have trouble picking a favorite musician here. These guys (and girl) are ALL excellent, and a real pleasure to listen too. As a group is only as good as its bass player, lets not overlook the fine bass playing and perfect timing by Sam that holds it all together. . One of my favorite bands.

I've heard them all and Broken Compass is the most original bluegrass band on the scene. Excellent young musicians, singers, & writers. It doesn't get much better than this. Love to see them pick up a few suits and play at the Grand Ole Opry.

Very Inspirational and a great vocal performance . My favorite bluegrass group, very talented and unique sound. I can relate in a way. Jesus Christ my Lord and savior has always walked beside me. I'd be nothing without him.

Always great to listen to the bluegrass sound by a group that plays writes and sings well. They also present a clean wholesome appearance. Good looking men with Mei Lin who best characterizes beautiful femininity.
