At 55 I'm starting to understand how the boomers must of felt, having to transition from peace loving hippies in the 60s to 'greed is good' business people in the 80s. As far as I'm concerned the best music an art came from the late 70s and thru the 80s , in the rough scary NY days. But it's also nice to be able to walk through Times Square and not get mugged every other block. In the daytime at that.

Not a big fan of live rap shows. When all the songs are karaoke, live events are pretty stale. However, my first time seeing Beasties in a festival in the 90s blew me away. I wasn't expecting the level of talent they had. They gave a show, played instruments, wore costumes, didn't have hype men covering for thier lack of breath control, the DJ was great. It was the only time ive ever been superized at a by a rap act.

James "JT" Taylor's singing voice has so much charisma and it's easy on the listening ear. When he sings "Misled" with Kool & The Gang i put it on repeat for an hour. I would like for JT and his lovely wife Starleana (Aurra fame) to record a duet album together.

Meeting JT exceeded my expectations. I attended a Kool and the Gang concert years ago and somehow I was able to see him before they left. He was so gracious and kindhearted. He allowed me to give him a kiss on the cheek then disappeared into the night. I will cherish that moment forever.❤
