As someone who has lost their home in the past, as well as many pets (one semi-recently) the pain is indescribable. Stay safe and take as much time as you need and deserve to process everything. I always feel dreadful whenever I think about the possibility of my cat dying, and I'm really sorry that your cat's time has come earlier than it should, not to talk about your house.
