You should be fine. Fishing Poles are not conductive. I believe most of them are made of fiberglass, which is an insulator. But what do I know? I just started fishing. All I have is 23 hours of experience.

? Isn’t it harder to catch fish in storms? That’s what I was told growing up. I understand the temperatures of the water also will stop you from catching fish. temperatures of the water have to be a certain temperature to be able to catch them on a regular basis. Well, most fish.
My theory is get lines in the water as much as possible. You will win some and you will lose some. I went back out last night and caught a monster!
Ive heard rain oxygenates the water which can make some species more active, could be a myth but i can confirm bigg bass and catfish will stack up on chokepoints when it floods

I’m not big on eating bottom feeders but I love catching and releasing them! Especially the big flatheads and blues and what we used to call channel cat in south Texas. Fun fishing.
