why? because he doesnt play tekken well. Lars will catch people who dont know the matchup well but if you play with good people, they shut down everything Lars are doing easy. Lars need to keep going while end game tekken is a game of fast +frame pokes. You can do it with LArs too but you lose 90% of the character. So many more characters are better suited at playing Tekken then him. Doesnt mean its impossible to be top but will lead to boring matches when oponent are able to keep Lars in check
The sad part is I feel that's a lot of Tekken 8 when I look at pro players. Not like there isn't hype moments, but it seems for a lot of characters you, the fun stuff in their movesets are shut down so often. They aren't the safe option by a large margin. It's a lot of really boring exchanges depending on the characters chosen and makes me a little sad as I'm slowly learning the game. All the fun seems to die a little the higher you climb
