    My carbs are taking a longer time come down to idle on my 32's. Could that be bimetal choke issue?

    nice seats in the cab, Porsche 924? look good :)

      Hi, I thought they were 911 seats but it turns out they are from a 928. They were easy to fit and are just the right height. I had them professionally recovered. I deliberately bought manual seats as I did want the electrics. Thanks.

    Personally, I would have kept the upright fridge and put a covered cassette toilet between the seats with a curtain that separates the cab area 4 privacy. I also would use that tall cabinet as hanging space. On the whole....beautiful restoration.

    Thanks for the video. What tool do you use to set the 0.1mm and 0.6mm gap?

    • @kizzysmith6151
      @kizzysmith6151 2 роки тому

      I used a feeler gauge but you should use feeler wire. Having said that when I span the engine up both gaps were way to big with the idle running to high. In the end I set the normal idle to zero gap (So it breathes through the hole in the throttle plate. And the fast idle is probably about 0.2mm. I actually adjusted them instu and used an air flow meter to balance the chokes. I have fitted a easier flowing exhaust pipe (vintage speed) this might explain why the idle was too high.

    I put the same plugs in all cylinders. The plugs that came out were all identical as well, so no pressure sensor plug

  • @jpmorris1640
    @jpmorris1640 2 роки тому

    Did you need a “pressure sensor” on your #2 plug or did you put the same glow plugs in all 6? Thank you for the video.

    Just take steady and apply pressure gently, if the plug won’t turn you can try tightening it a fraction, then loosen it a fraction don’t rush. Good luck
