    Just stumbled upon this video after googling how to remove a name from a pottery barn chair that I bought used. But I was shocked to see that Evelina was the name on the chair before because that’s my daughter’s name and I would have loved to find that cover with her name on it!! It’s a rare name so I never thought I would see that on a chair, small world lol

    Hmmm , i discovered just closing the flyscreens , also helps cool the van , but still allows the light , and air to flow . My van has two such skylights , and a huge panoramic skylight . This thing is something like 800x500 mm , just to give you an idea of just how large it is . I just close the flyscreen here as well . I also covered the open side windows , and closed the windscreen off completely . Nothing fancy just the standard blinds , with a towel over the side . The result was a pleasantly cool van , with no fans . I do have two doors , and yes both of these were open , along with a fully opened awning .

    Very creative! Thanks for sharing! I was going to use the Velcro strips, but then I remembered they didn’t hold well in my minivan either when I used them for screen doors (even on the inside of my sliding doors, they didn’t hold) but Alien tape holds up very well in the heat. I tried it on my dashboard first, and it held all summer long - then came up very clean too. I made some fitted Reflectix panels for my Dodge Grand Caravan, and gave them to a friend with the same vehicle after I got a pickup truck, prior to getting our travel trailer. I use magnetic-holding blackout curtains it the truck (even though all the windows are tinted…because…southern NC summers😰). What I used to help hold up the Reflectix (because I cut them slightly smaller than they needed to be), what the little plastic suction cups. Now, they don’t stick to every surface but they’re definitely good on windows. I like your son’s idea for installing the magnets too! 👍🏻 It must be in his DNA 😎. Thanks for the quick tips!!

    • @GlueStickChick
      @GlueStickChick 11 місяців тому

      Sounds like you are busy coming up with ideas too. These “do it yourself” projects are always a battle of experimenting. I’ve never used alien tape, but I’m going to look into that. Specially, living in Florida!
