You can’t do that with Mexican people They don’t care how nice you are they just wanna tips 0-5% for original bills sick of them
So your not a computer server then? fk sake this search engine is rubbish!
I’m currently an expo going into serving and so many people compliment me when I’m just doing my expo job so I think I’ll have a great time as a server
Thank You so much for sharing.
Really missing vereena 🥺❤️ hoping she keeps getting better❤️
If you were my server where i live at, Id pay you my customary Tip for Friends, I have alot of friends that are servers at different restaurants.....and I always tip them 100% of whatever the bill is. BUT, They also take really good care of me and my guests!
I’ve been a server for over 30 years (yikes). And I must say…. Your tips are great! Very true! And very good advice for new servers 👏👏👏👏
My biggest tip as a woman is not only to do your makeup and look cute but to do it to fit your guests. My restaurant is fine dining, conservative type people. If I wear natural makeup they love it, the one day I wore more goth/darker makeup I made under 20% on all my tables even though they said service was amazing and everything was great.
hii do you think I HAVE to do my makeup every day? I don't really wear any, at best eyeliner, brows and lipstick. I have some acne so foundation isnt good on my skin. I feel like in general the products frequently aren't good for my hair and skin, so I only wear makeup when I'm going out or full face for special events
Smile, touch, listen, care.
Show your family at all. And family together. Can be great
You dont need all that makeup girl
GREAT Tips!, " pay attention to verbiage", yes!, most people bring the lemons a long time after.
" may i get you a refill "? 😮✅️ sounds GREAT ! 🙋🏾♀️✅️ 1ST time getting more educated.
I love this video so much. Thanks for providing all the details on each tip ❤
I always try to make sure to treat people the way I want to be treated. And my guests actually often comment on it in a positive way. After all it's not about just the food, it's about making an experience for the guest where they feel cared for and important. Anyways remember always that you are valid, valuable, unique, irreplaceable and you matter more than you know! take care!
These are so good!
Just good looks good body shape and better personality I get up to $50 tips
❤
servers are the most fake people on the planet but again is not just servers, that goes for most jobs heavily depend on tips.
Anticipate what they need, if you see people down on sauces get it before they ask. In this business you have to genuinely care about them.
any PDF notes to follow, please
Why do ppl get upset when someone doesn’t tip you? Do u tip the bank clerk, security guard, the 7/11 worker, ur local ice cream man? Probably not! So then why do people who work in the food industry always feel ENTITLED to receiving a tip. Or it’s somewhat problematic when people don’t tip. If you feel like ur under paid or not making it, change jobs! U don’t hear executives complain about tips, why? Because they chose the right career field, and make a living off the job they chose. Not feeling entitled to receiving more due to lack of ACCOUNTABILITY on ur own actions
I mean this could be said about various societal norms. There are so many alternatives to dining in a service based restaurant where someone is literally waiting on you and running back and forth to get you things to cultivate a pleasant experience for you. It’s like paying for a luxury and you can easily opt out of going to places like these where tipping isn’t part of the “culture” for lack of a better word. There are plenty of serve yourself type of dining. I don’t think everyone who works in the service industry feels entitled to tips but to answer your question, it’s an experience. The server knows that this job is contingent on them being personable, friendly, and efficient at what they’re doing. If not, they can’t even keep that job for long anyways. So as the customer, you go in to these places expecting a smile, efficiency, getting all of your supplies before your meal. You’re paying extra for a service just like at nail salons and such where tipping is also part of the culture. Those executives also typically get perks like health insurance, PTO, etc. and are generally taken care of whereas servers typically don’t. Sure you can say servers can go pivot and work those jobs instead but in reality not everyone can afford the steps it takes to get those kinds of jobs and SOMEONE has to do these other jobs. Tipping aside, if everyone was going for these “right career fields” with benefits and higher income, there would be nobody collecting your trash off the streets, janitors, plumbers, or anyone working physically demanding/strenuous jobs. Additionally, the executive jobs you’re referring to typically have a strict schedule of m-f 9-6 and not everyone can do that given lack of childcare or schooling or whatever else is going on their lives.
If you feel this way I truly hope you do not go out to eat. Servers pay taxes based on daily sales. So if you don’t tip, your server is literally paying to serve you. So your solution to this predicament is to never eat at an establishment whose workers rely on tips for their income. Your sense of ENTITLEMENT that a server should pay for the privilege of serving you is ironic!
Because in USA we get paid almost nothing hourly. It's american culture. If you can't afford to tip then you can't afford to go out to eat. Go to mcdonalds
I don’t feel upset if customers don’t tip. Tips is optional
The same ppl who say this will be crazy when restaurants close down due to no servers. We get paid so low! We rely on tips to make our money. And again- for those who complain the places should pay more- would you pay over $25 for a burger at a restaurant? If you don’t tip, just say you’re cheap and go to McDonalds (where the workers don’t cater or bend over backwards for the customer).
May God protect you and protect you
Totally awesome tips!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!
this is like the exact opposite of like everything i’ve ever heard so i’m torn 😭 like every server i know that does well is like oh yeah blame it on the kitchen say the expensive thing is delicious even if you’ve never had it
Experiment with both styles and see for yourself 😊 to me, being genuine and honest will always give you better results and sits better with me at the end of the day
Girl, you corrected your mistakes and it's so beautiful that it shows the difference that being genuinely human makes
Im glad I watched this video. Knowing how much money you make, Now I have a valid reason not to tip any server.
Wow I hope I never have to give you exceptional service and caring for you to abuse our hard work. People have no clue how hard we work. Some servers have to climb stairs for each and every tiny request or item needed from the upstairs kitchen. They go up and down these stairs constantly for six or eight hours every single shift and most work six days a week. We know every single ingredient every vineyard our wine comes from and much much more. We are treated as the help and have to smile while enduring it. This is just a tiny bit of examples of our duties and ability. I’m the top sales provider over every employee for the last seven years. I’m gifted in sales and customer service. We earn our tips and those that get happiness from abusing our excellent service is disgusting. Shame on you and Thank God for the regulars I have made and how many. I am blessed and protected from having to serve you. I bet I make more than you and it’s because I am professional at what I do.
I run a financial services practice but have been studying for a new license, so business is slower. I got back into waitressing and was embarrassed because I felt like I've regressed. Until on my first day, my trainer made $500 in that day.
lol where are you located?
For the first one I say, “Is there anyone that I can take off the table for you?” Maybe I will switch the can to may
Great Job! Thank you!
Should you introduce yourself to your table?
Yes, that definitely helps! I have a unique name so I used to write it out on a beverage napkin phonetically to help them say it & place it on the table when I’m doing my introduction so it makes it more personal :) you can do so even if you have a common name I think it’s a special touch
Here's my tip. Give them attention. We now live in what seems to be (or becoming-) an attention deficit society, I think. Of course not all customers will want attention. But the majority will. The giving/receiving attention process is built-in to the dine-in restaurant experience. There's a lot of attention-needy people nowadays. And this neediness is opportunity. I work with servers that seem to resent neediness in their customers. Perhaps, acted on (providing that attention), would mean more work for that server(?).. These servers are the types that "take customers for granted." "I serve, they pay/tip.". "-It's as simple as that!".. These servers shouldn't be serving. There's way more to the dine-in server/customer restaurant experience than mechanized functioning. These same servers will seriously get upset when the place fills, becomes "slammed!" with customers. I see this constantly where I host. "Oh make them go home"..People, as customer, usually go out to eat in order to have a good time, a good experience. It's the other part of the transaction, articulated or not!!. Tips to servers are "thank you's!," the monetary form of appreciation for that good time experience.
I definitely agree!
ustena .. I tipped $100 to cute server cause some table next to us tipped $3 and I noticed she got sad/angered in her head...on my way out I tipped her the 100 and told her she was beautiful and a hard worker., she said thank you and she started smiling and giggling ,, haha my friend said I made her blush.. the last thing she said was she always here working while going on about her business smiling and giggling ,,the place was super busy at the time.,, so do I have a chance with her>? we are both attractive people
no she was just being polite it's her job to be kind to people
I'm not a people person tho
