The plot has a lot of metaphors. The dream scene was about her becoming brave ( the ceral box) and the sword getting baptized with the fire so it can defeat Art. Art is actually a paranormal demon so he never actually dies.

Good podcast. Yes, I’m a fan. The TV trailer caused so many problems with children some markets either moved it passed prime time or banned it altogether. A handful of theaters showed the film in “PosessOsound” which was basically low frequency woofers and subwoofers placed strategically around the auditorium. Allegedly Spielberg lifted the scene of the children’s toys and bedroom going berserk for Poltergeist. Allegedly. What was once horrifying and terrifying to us in 1975 is now hopelessly dated and hilarious, but between this, The Exorcist, Abbey, and Rosemary’s Baby, a lot of us kids lost many hours of sleep 😂

The Trog-Dogs didn't follow Purvis for 11 days because of him and Buddy just walking through their burial ground... The Troglodytes follow David Arquette into Bright Hope because he desecrated the burial ground. While Buddy is getting his vitals ripped out off in the distance, Arquette starts running, turns around to send a wild gunshot, and trips over one of the little stone structures of a burial site. The rocks fall on the ground and a skull spills on the ground and rolls right into a title card. PS: I love how there's no 'final showdown' with a big gunfight in this film! The film stays true to it's characters and the world the writer built! The Troglodytes won't ever be in a position to all get wiped out like that. They seem to 'patrol' in pairs and lay in wait until they can just pop out and bum rush you lol. With no big battle, Arthur now has to move slowly and carefully think out his move. That leads him to figuring out the back entrance to the valley/cave and the discovery of the neck-whistle... Those two actions are literally the only reason ANY of them made it out alive
