    I've had the cling mount for a while. My problem was finding someone who knew what they were doing. I had no idea I could stamp the image on the cling. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I loved learning about the woodturning knife from you and the blades from a comment left below by @frand9174. It's like Christmas morning with all these so-called new-to-me stamps! I totally realized i somehow got the black ez cling foam, im so bummed because now i have no idea how to get the stamped image on the cling side of the foam as black stazon isn't an option now. Any suggestions? Also, yeah the cling is not sticky like the good ones I've used, for example the new stampin up cling foam rubber stamps have a much nicer actually sticky cling backing but their old versions are much like my ez cling foam, not sticky at all, and requires alottt of pressure to get it to stick to my misti or a block abd still tends to fall off after first stamping. Is it just the one I got? Or is that typical? How do I fix it? :(

    • @lucyc
      @lucyc 2 роки тому

      Hi! Stampin' Up actually has sheets of sticky strips you can put on your rubber cling stamps!! A friend on mine is a demonstrator and she told me about them when I was bemoaning the fact that I had some rubber cling stamps that weren't so sticky. They are quite handy. Hope that helps.😊

      So sorry to take so long in getting back to you Tiffany. I have had no problems with the gray EZ cling foam. So, it must be the black kind. Here is a link to the one I buy. So sorry you had trouble. www.amazon.com/dp/B0070GIDA6?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_AVWZ6VAB6S72XAT3CJ9W

      @@lettyscorner you're so sweet. You don't need to apologize at all, it's not even a problem with the ez cling mount foam really it's just that because I bought the black accidently I can't use black staz-on like every does to stamp the image over the cling side before mounting, so as to get a pretty close idea of what your stamping down when you use it, like the photo of the image on back of most rubber block stamps, but because it's black, stamping the image in black wouldn't do much good hahaah. But, I did manage to find white staz on, on Amazon and I'll be trying that, because other than staz on, I have no idea if any other ink would actually work on the cling side to stamp onto and have it stay put. <3 but hopefully the white will show up well enough and it'll be worth the extra cost. But I'll def. Be getting the grey or just diy ing it next time or if I need more for my block mount to foam mount project. <3

      @@lettyscorner oh and shoot I should have edited my first reply. I don't think there's as much issue with the ez mount cling sticking as I thought, I think I thought it was the same as the old stampin up ones. That are ridiculous to try to get to stay on an acrylic block, vs their new ones that are so sticky, you can feel the sticky on it. But as the ez cling doesn't have any sticky feeling I think I just assumed it was going to be as troublesome. But we will see :)

    • @unboundbytiffany
      @unboundbytiffany 2 роки тому

      @@lucyc hhaah yeah that's funny because it's my old stampin up cling foam stamps that really don't stick at all, and always fall off my misti and block pretty much destroying my project lol! But to have to spend even more money on them is annoying, and to order through a demonstrator and pay for shipping to Hawaii is a rather silly expense for the one item. But I've seen on Lindsey from the Frugal Crafters videos that you can spread some ayleens tack it over and over on the backs and it should work like a charm. So I'll maybe gift that a shot. But i do wonder, since I have the leftover pieces from sheets of cling adhesive from newer stampin up stamps but i was thinking I had to cut a full stamp size out to cover the entire non sticking cling side. But if they're selling strips, could you maybe put just a small square in the center or the stamp and have it still work effectively? That'd be great, much easier, and then i dint have to buy anything for those. Win win win Hahaha.

      A little if you don't keep your tool clean as you go. I open the window behind me and have a fan sucking the air out. I don't even really notice a smell; I am pretty sensitive to smell so I understand the concern. Also breathing in the toxins isn't good.

    I converted all my wood mounted rubber stamps last year..I used the same climb foam. It works great. I however removed the stamp from the wood first. There are several advantages. First you waste a lot less of your foam sheet (that stuff is expensive) then when I stamped my image with stazon I traced around the rubber image with a soft pencil being very careful not to move the image. When I removed the stamp I had a perfect cutting line to match the image. The registration was almost always perfect.
