It's funny how I loved watching scenes like these about the side characters more, than the stories around the main characters. This one here is one of my personal favorites from B5.

Vir was that gentle soul who everyone mistook for a weak idiot, not realising that here was a man with the courage to stand with his friends when needed and stop them if needed. However when he went crazy it was always for a good reason

"I promised them they could stay in exchange for elevating me to godhood," is a lone he says so casually.

And in the midst of his rant, he mocks the unionized torturers. What a stellar, unsettling scene.

Vir? Some people can be reason with if there’s a way, but with that guy? No.

Vir is no coward. He risked his position. Maybe even his life, running an underground escape route to save Narn refugees. That in my mind was his greatest accomplishment.

I'm new to dimension 20, and I'm watching through the beginning of the "losing faith in helio" arc and I have to say, I'm really not into the way the DM is handling it. Everyone she talks to about her concerns is a closed-minded bigot, there isn't a single positive role model that shows the other side of the argument, and there really isn't any kind of choice on the character's part because the information presented can only ever possibly end with her leaving her faith. I get the joke or whatever, but thats a really irresponsible way to portray religion and doubt. Maybe he had a bad experience with a pastor or whatever but seriously, it's so one-sided and extremely uncharitable. Maybe later on there's a good example of Christianity (because let's be real, that'd what Helio is supposed to represent) but my hopes for a fair representation are pretty much zero now. And no, I don't mean this one clip I mean everything up to the conversation with coach daybreak where he just tells her everyone who doubts is going to hell, and to ignore and ostricise them instead of talking to them.

Balnor is the best character in C1. I fucking love him.

Brennan is everyone's girlfriend/boyfriend. He's so good at it, he's Zac's girlfriend twice!

The tent lifting is such a good detail. This man who would become emperor tried to separate himself from everyone else. But his closest friends brought him down to be with the common man. I can't help but head cannon that the act of being just like everyone else helped to make him the leader he was. Even though I know it was improvised to further the joke.

As raw as all of this is I kind of feel for Calroy when even this fails to kill Amethar. Like you went all in, stabbed your friend in the back, admitted to killing his sister, tortured one of his old friends, arranged the execution of his daughters and tossed him off a building and despite all of your hard work and having him right where you want him he still manages to live. Motherfucker was probably breaking into cold sweats every night until the day he died

Lapin is such a loss. Such a fascinating character lost so soon. Which makes it feel so real. So heartbreaking.

It’s also not just “murdered girl” - it’s his cousin / niece (it’s technically his second cousin but niece is simpler) that he lives with and who died in his arms because he failed to save her.

So whatever happened to those veiled Centauri telepathic women who kept watch over the Emperor? The EU Centauri trilogy covered this in the 3rd book. Emperor Cartagia decided he didn't like having women around who could effortlessly peek into his thoughts. So he had them all slaughtered. They were the first casualties of his bloody reign, and certainly not the last. Given his alliance with Mr. Morden and the Shadows, hardly surprising.

This whole battle, but especially this sequence, was led so well by Brennan and acted so well by the players, and the choice of music and the set so beautiful, I already loved DnD when I started watching this but after this scene and all that it made me feel and made them feel, I knew this was something that would be part of the rest of my life
