That drumline kicks a lot of ass
That's awesome. Really cool to see!

the tone of that trumpet soloist is to die for

Took me awhile to realize this is Atlanta
I forgot to put that in . Thanks
Please lose the pre-recorded crap and let them play music and shine.
i thought the addition of the voiceover during the ballad added a lot to the chills factor, personally.
The voiceover is a part of their show and a big one at that
the voiceovers add another cool layer if applied correctly
The voiceover? It's fine I think tbh. The prerecorded brass on the other hand? Kinda... cringe
I don't understand why the percussion gets to do all the visuals and the brass just has to stand there completely still
It’s hard to do ground rolls in a hornline arc
There are typically two different versions of standstill reps drum corps will do. The first is one where visuals and body moves are IN. This is for practice, especially when it’s a new/added/tricky moment. The second is what you see here. It’s a more professional approach to a rep. Less visual mess, tighter arc, better sound. They may be THE Bluecoats, but since they don’t do every standstill rep with body, it wouldn’t be the smartest choice to do it in public. If they wanted to show you the body moves, they would have to do it EVERY time they play the music, which does seem smart (more reps), but just isn’t the case. Practice how you perform applies to standstills as well. It’s just how it goes!
Percussion does the same thing in the lot as they do in a standstill performance
