A review with all pros but no cons lol. While I agree that Carestack is amazing compared to Dentrix, it is not without setbacks. These flaws are easily implemented but for some reason CS support says they are not on the roadmap. Here are three major flaws: 1. No mobile app for consents. I currently use Modento and it's so easy to take electronic consents. With Carestack, the consents are browser based. The disadvantages is that if you're trying to use Chrome on an iPad, the consents would time out and not save so the patients have to start all over again. Consent forms on CS also have the "Next" and "Save" button on the forms that confuses patients which one to press to continue. 2. No MMS and new patient texting. CS can only text patients if they have a chart in the system. No MMS means patients can't send photos of insurance cards, ID cards, etc. Modento can do these. 3. Can't view CS on mobile. CS is cloud based but you can't view the schedule, look at ledgers, and view text messages on your phone. Nothing. Can't resize it either. Everything looks bloated. You would need a PC to view everything. Easily fixed if CS had an optimized mobile app. Honorable mention: Add-ons. It seems every dental software is doing it and CS is no exception. You will need to subscribe to Tigerview if you want to view x-rays on CS, Dosespot to electronically prescribe RX, and CS Membership to manage in-house dental plans. I'm looking forward to see how CS Conversions (AI Calling transcriptions) and how CS is going to integrate Pearl for AI X-rays diagnosis.
