How can I become a finance coach ? What do I need to know & where can I learn it ? I would like to work with people to break through barriers and get to their next level. That's what I'm working on doing.
Check out my how to become a financial coach playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL5EKJmoTKicrPuLaD8D58OabHaVpadlf4.html&si=Dg8AxYVtaPb0hneq This is exactly what I teach people to do! Let me know what other questions you have.
Where can you get a ploc for 10%?
We got ours at pnc
how do you apply this if you get paid bi-weekly
Great strategy!! And if credit card earns cash rewards that can be applied to the balance that’s a little extra to help pay down that balance. Cha Ching!😄
Agreed!
Hello, Thank you for your truthful and detailed information! I have a question. I decided to take the intuit Academy online bookkeeping course. I'm now trying to pass the certificate exam- which is another discussion altogether! But, I also purchased the QBO course to be a certified Proadvisor on QB for Intuit. Do you think these could lay a good foundation for bookkeeping? I've always liked numbers, but my background is not in finance. However, I'm getting older and I want something more...more stability.. more control over who I work with and my worth. Can you please send a DM.
I've never taken these courses so I don't know how prepared for the real world of bookkeeping you'll be! I recommend taking Bookkeeper Launch as that prepared me for not only the bookkeeping side of the business but also trained me on how to get clients. Here's a video I recently did of recapping the last 7 years since I took bookkeeper launch and how my business is doing now! ua-cam.com/video/LNndN8oVUU0/v-deo.htmlsi=WCsBw2xIFYpddaC_
I love this. I don't know why I was never taught this before. I must say I have asked and I've never had credit card companies agree to lower my interest rates.
It's a lot of work for sometimes very little payoff. I think there's other methods that are much easier like increasing your income
Hi, this is great information. I do have a question. What can one do if you do place a large payment, and suddenly they lower your available to credit to what you owe?
I would call them immediately. You could also call them ahead of time to make sure this won't happen. Also To avoid this you can space out your payments a little! Good question because this does happen
I have been thinking about using this method for a while, but I was thinking about getting a HELOC. I have watched many videos on this matter, but it seems to good to be true.
Omg! Thank you. Someone with some common sense.
Thanks for watching!
I also have tax clients, would I be able to onboard them through here?
Good question! Yes it would work the same.
@@FinancialCoachJess i do have BL and I’m should be done getting my certs by end of this month. I also use taxdome as my project management. Do you think it’s still worth it to roll with this as well? I’m still trying to figure out my systems and I really like the pipelines I can create with taxdome. But I know I need to show more attention to my marketing. BTW love your channel and all the stuff you put out.
@@Shreeree441 awesome! From what I understand, taxdome and keepful are two totally different softwares with different purposes. Keepful is all front end of the business, your funnel for turning strangers into clients, while taxdome is each client's work flow. Especially during tax season when time is short and everyone becomes very aware of how much they need a bookkeeper and tax professional 😂 it's priceless to already have the funnel and onboarding automated.
@@FinancialCoachJess thank you!! I love your portrayal of it. I can make keepful the front office while taxdome is the back office Once I graduate from BL I’ll look into getting keepful. Thank you for the hack too! I was afraid by the monthly fee for the concierge but I think I might do what you suggested
@@Shreeree441 you're welcome! Yes, there's no need to keep the high monthly fee once it's up and running. congrats on almost being done with BL! 🎉
Great job. Congrats and good luck to you guys.
Thank you!
Congratulations by the way on your endeavors.May God continue to bless you richly, in all areas of your life.
Thank you so much!
@@FinancialCoachJess 😊🙏🏽🤗
Thank you so much for all of the information that you have been providing. I just found your website yesterday. I have a quick question regarding velocity banking. Let’s say I begin to deposit $2000 a month into the credit card that I’m trying to bring down but stop after two months. Will the credit card company expect me to continue to deposit 2000 in other words will they change my monthly payment over to $2000 a month because they thought OK she should be able to pay $2000 a month to bring down her credit card debt. Thank you.😊🙏🏽
They might lower your credit limit but your minimum payment will still be a small percentage 👍🏻
@@FinancialCoachJess thank you so much. I am extremely grateful because you were able to respond so quickly. I know that your life is overflowing with so much activity. Again, thank you for your response. Have an amazing day.🙏🏽😊🎉💓
You too ❤️
I had a financial advisor say -- "do not come to see him until I have saved $40,000" -- directed me to a high yeild savings plan -- I have a 401K but my kids do not work for companies with 401K's-- your advice on how I can get them investing?
As you network with advisors for coaching, I would look for a new one that can give you ideas on how your kids can invest. Especially if you have a business, this really opens up the door for your children to be involved from a young age.
Loved this one! I’ll be praying for this new journey of yours and I can’t wait to watch it unfold. God is so good and He will provide for all that you need ♥️ PS - soooo related to everything you mentioned about anxiety. I recently had the revelation that worry is my means of control AND the way that I avoid feeling. Worry is familiar (and gives me control). Instead of just making space for I’m scared, sad, angry, confused, etc. Hit home for me! Hugs!
Hi, Gabby! I'm so glad that resonated with you, sounds like very similar revelations! I appreciate the prayers! ❤️
Your insights are really helpful!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Glad it was helpful
So excited for you guys!

I am really torn between the two. Initially I was planning on doing the debt snowball. However, one thing that concerns me is that once I send my money into my mortgage, I have no ability to ever access that cash again. It's a little scary since I would be putting thousands of extra dollars in monthly.
I understand that. If you have a good sized emergency fund, I wouldn't worry. Debt snowball is really the only option with mortgage debt.
This is the most risky method I’ve seen. I hope that no one using this method loses their job along the way. Deferring your bills to save a couple bucks does not seem worth the risk. Slow and steady is how you pay off debt. Curious to see how this would work if you don’t carry a balance. Then maybe you use this every other month.
In this method, your bills are not deferred so I'm not sure of the risk that you are talking about.
@@FinancialCoachJess I’m a zero balance credit card person but have debt. If I use the cc to pay my bills then use my cash to pay off a debt(or pay down) I am deferring payment of my bills by 30 days to save a few dollars of interest. At some point you are behind using a credit card. Month 2 how do I pay off the credit card while paying the bills?
I don't think you're understanding the concept. If it doesn't work for you that's ok, it's not the best method in my opinion
@@FinancialCoachJess I am always looking for clever ways to lower interest to give me bang for the buck. Just trying to understand this and see if it makes sense for me. Seems risky to me to be using credit at 30% unless you can pay it off every month. Having trouble connecting those dots
@shrtblondie1 ah I think I see. this is only for people on a very fixed income with maxed out cards. If you're already managing your money correctly this will not help you!
I get paid biweekly, and I have different bills that are due every payday, so…this won’t work for all my bills
Not a goldfish -- lol -- I believe this video was a confirmation from God on if I should do your program or not -- I enjoyed hearing your Christian views, thanks for the encouragement.
Love to hear it! 🩷 glad it resonated with you!
So the $2,400 she transferred to her credit card includes her min payment of $160?
Correct!
I just don’t understand why you’re comparing the debt snowball to velocity banking. It can all be done together. Velocity banking is just dumping your paycheck into which ever vehicle you’re using to decrease monthly interest. Whether you decide to do the debt snowball or start with the highest debt or the lowest debt or the highest interest rate versus the lowest interest interest rate. You would still use velocity banking either way.
Numbers wise, this doesn't really make sense because of the added effort and time invested. If it works for you though, more power to you!
@@FinancialCoachJess ok, guess i don't understand what you are saying then. No worries.
Really helped me understand the route I need to go to work through my situation. Thank you so much!
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thank you for being honest and for educating us.
Thanks for watching!
Didnt need a budget to have on before all the vet tech went to 100K schools, BIG pharma got involved and now you need YEARLY boosters!!! Dogs lived great back when it was 35 dollars to see the vet once in a while. Now can food it 3 to 5 bucks a can! GREED is why it cost so much. The moochers found a way to profit from you pet!!!
Thanks for this truthful and encouraging video. I’m a SAHM and this summer I began taking Bookkeeper Launch 😅 some days I feel determined and excited for what the future holds and a lot of other days I feel like I won’t be cut out for the job. I was wondering, what type of work did you do prior to 2017? ☺️thanks again
Thanks for watching! You got this!! I totally understand the big swings in confidence and imposter syndrome. I was a high school history teacher 😊
I appreciate all of the informative information. I'm going to have a conversation with my husband about purchasing this program. I'm also going to check out all of the links that you posted below. Have a blessed day. Thank you 😊 .
You're welcome! Let me know if you have any questions!
@FinancialCoachJess I will Thank you ...
How about 11 credit cards with maxed out ?
I have lots of videos on personal finance! ua-cam.com/play/PL5EKJmoTKicoAfdpADcr5taMzpcAVKRQq.html&si=Vks_C2xzokxmeYSL
So happy you made this video. I've completed Bookkeeper Launch and it started with you in my initial research. I'm so ready for this to get off the ground and Keepful will definitely help with that.
Awesome! Cant wait to hear how it goes for you!
I don’t get it. If you pay 2400 a month and spend 2400 a month you are only saving interest
Plus the minimum payment each month
I believe its called “sleeping your card” correct me if I’m wrong. 😊
I think that's when you match an expense with a cc min payment so you can focus on paying down a specific card
@@FinancialCoachJess Yeah, something like that.
No goldfish here. 🎉
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love the video thank you I would definitely love your help if you could
Glad you liked it! 🩷
sounds like you might have changed your mind?
Nope! These numbers are true! The full video gives more context
I know this video is old, but how many months do the steps take? (We are concerned that we can’t implement steps during the day because in a month or so she will be in daycare again, 8 months old- teachers who are going back to school)
The steps take two weeks! I didn't believe it but it took us almost that exact amount of time when our daughter was 11 months old
Lets assume all parties are of sound spending habbits lol, yes things happen but yea i kinda agree with haga. What if the person just didnt want to spend their cash assets and wanted to lower their monthly expenses, would you consider it then?
According to my mortgage companies' amortization schedule.... If I make a chunk payment of $5000 to my 2.99% interest rate mortgage ill save $7658.25 and 9 months of payments. The credit card I'll be using will charge me a 3% ($150) transfer fee and 0% interest for 12 months. I can easily pay the $5000 off before the card starts charging me interest on the $5000. I will easily recoup the transfer fee with the credit card sign up bonus and points, actually coming out ahead by a couple hundred dollars... I use the Snowball method in conjunction with Velocity banking...
Sounds like a solid approach! I would not have that kind of patience to go back and forth but if you're diligent and on top of it, I'm glad it's working for you!
When your in debt like this, your credit is bad, so how do you get approved for a credit card to even start this velocity method?
You might have to start with the snowball method for a few months to pay off smaller cards to improve your debt to income ratio. I've got a couple videos on how to improve your credit score. My clients have had 100 point increases in the 3 months I work with them
@@FinancialCoachJess I'll start by saying your videos are amazing. Thanks for responding earlier to me also. So....Ive noticed that nobody videos ever speak on the fact that you cant pay credit cards with other credit cards, so should'nt that money stay in your checking account also? Most videos say put everything(all money) except rent/mortgage and car payment on your credit card, but never mention the other credit cards that has to be paid also. Maybe Im missing something.
@SeanyStacks that is correct, it's "everything" that can be paid by the credit card. So other payments would not be lumped in there. And thank you!!
@@FinancialCoachJess New subscriber alert lol
@@SeanyStacks 😊🩷
Thanks!
My very first super thanks on UA-cam 🥹 thank you! 🙏🏻
Your Genius! I just realized something MAJOR.
Awesome! What clicked for you?
What are the best places to apply for velocity banking. No youtuber is mentioning that
To apply for a line of credit? A local credit union
Question: I owe $9000 on Discover and $2700 to PayPal. Should I just pay all of PayPal first, or apply the $2700 to my high interest Discover?
❤
Thanks for watching!
I stumbled upon your videos by accident and I am not going to lie, your videos are the most honest ones out there with personal finance. I have been a Dave Ramsey fan for years but I also disagree with some of his teachings. I almost pulled the trigger on FCMT until I saw your videos about it and how I agree way more with you and your philosophy on finance. I hope to be able to save up and be apart of your team because it seems great. Keep doing what you are doing!! I know this is an old video but it was a good one.
Thank you so much!
I am paid weekly, does that make any difference at all in putting this into practice?
@KCandthesunshine-k1f No, it doesn't matter when you get paid. Figure out what bills cannot be put on your credit card (rent, mortgage etc) and keep this money in your chequing account and pay those from there like you normally do. Then, with the rest of your money "park your paycheques" when you get paid weekly. This will satisfy your minimum monthly payment and you continue to put the rest of your expenses on the card throughout the month (gas, groceries etc). It is actually better to "park" smaller amounts throughout the month as credit card companies can lower your limit without notice if you were maxed out and consider you a risk. Hope this helps.
Damn this just made me really depressed!! I'll never have enough money for this!
I’m about to give up. The interest is to high😭
Never give up! The time will pass anyway, just get 1% closer to your goal every day!
