Matar Paneer || Restaurant Style || Dhaba Style || Simple and Easy Recipe

Today, we’re making a delicious and creamy Matar Paneer, a classic North Indian dish made with soft paneer cubes, green peas, and a flavorful tomato-based gravy. This recipe is simple, restaurant-style, and perfect for pairing with roti, naan, or jeera rice.
Ingredients
100G Paneer, or Tofu
cubed
peas/matar, steamed
For masala:
1 tbsp oil
2 onions, roughly sliced
2 tomatoes,
10 to 12 cashews
1/2 inch cinnamon
5 to 6 peppercorns
2 green chillies
2 to 3 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger, roughly chopped
water as needed
For curry:
2 tbsp oil + ghee
2 bayleaves
2 cloves cardamom
salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp kasuri methi
Fry paneer in oil till golden. Preserve this in chilled water so it stays soft and fresh
In same pan add onions, whole spices, cashews, ginger, garlic, green chillies ,onions and
add tomatoes and cook it turns mushy
Blend it into a paste.
Steam peas in water till well cooked.
In the same pan heat a mix of oil and ghee and add your whole spices, masalas and the paste.
Once the paste leaves oil on sides, add matar, paneer and water if needed. Let it simmer on a low flame.Garnish it with kasuri methi.
