Steve year is coming to an end without u responding to my messages

Thank you! Thank you! It was beautiful! I have loved it ever since I’ve heard it here. Yes, it was Central Church. And it was Skippy Webster. He stayed at Central till his death in 1999. We went through many trials but merged with First United Methodist Church in 2007. I played at Central through all those years and also for Immanuel United Methodist Church for 17 years till I came here in January, 2012. I’ve played for my children’s church, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, joining it in 2015. I just retired on Easter Sunday this year. No organ here, but I quickly refreshed my piano skills as best I could. It has been wonderful! I always knew you were in the Canton, Ohio area. Found you when the internet came along and followed you these last years. I’ve been enjoying your digital piano bar for several months. So good to hear you again! Thank you again! I will send you another request again. 🌸💗🌸💗

Hi, Steve! This brings back Memories of many years ago in South Bend. Ivan and I talked of you often. Since the advent of the computer age, I’ve kind of kept track of your career in Ohio and now I’m enjoying your digital piano bar. Ivan has been gone 14 years now and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii with my daughter Kathy and her family. Elizabeth still lives in South Bend. I do have a request. Great song. Great lyrics by Lorenz Hart. And a wonderful rendition. Steve. One thing, and it affects me as a Fake Book player, is that most sheet music omits the intros. Most of those I’ve found in the recordings of Ella Fitzgerald. These set up a song and, if we are fortunate, provide the musical bridge between dialogue and breaking into song. So … if the intros are out there, I’d love to hear them. I have a Hal Leonard version of Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered with an intro that I always enjoy playing. “He’s a fool / And don’t I know it / But a fool / Can have his charms…”

Always a favorite piece. Perhaps Johnny Mercer’s lyrics were my first introduction to poetry. I have a wonderful and nuanced recording of Henry Mancini playing it in duet with Marian McPartland.

Loved this song from my first hearing of it, not sure which singer introduced me to the tune. Perhaps Ella. Maybe my mom’s Johnny Mathis album. It stands tall in the American Songbook. Recently, here on UA-cam, I watched Erroll Garner play a masterful version, just stunningly virtuosic. Thanks.
