Hey buddy i think the 4th hydraulic line is supposed to run to a free flow return to sump port. If you dont have one you can leave it unhooked and run your gate in float.
have yall enjoyed the tractor? been strongly considering the 4707 for my next "big" tractor to do all around work on our farm
Yes it's been a really good tractor. We've put about 450 hours on since we got it and we really like it.
@@hopsonhayandcattle6328 Thats great to hear bud. just watched your reviews for it. Did yall get the wider tires as well as the rear weights or the standard tires?
@@thevoodooview It was standard on this one. I don't know about other dealers though.
This 2024, and I'm thinking hard about buying an 4707 are you still liking the tractor?
Yes it's been a really good tractor so far. We've got 450 hours on it as of today.
That’s a fine haying rig you got there…👍
Thanks
Good video. Hard to beat a Kuhn disc mower. What state yall in?
That's all we run there very reliable and we rarely have issues with them. We are located in East Texas.
Thank for the great review. I’m strongly considering buying one.
I've got a '21 4707 and really like it. I have one gripe, however: the 3pt hitch sliding button/lever control doesn't 100% control the arms. You move the sliding button to raise the arms and even after you stop, the arms keep going a little bit. Same when going down. Makes it a little frustrating when you don't have 100% control over it. Other than that, it's a great tractor and easily the most comfortable to operate that I've ever experienced. The Radial tires, rubber mounted cab, rubber floor mat, and air ride seat make it soooo nice.
There is a video that shows how to calibrate the clutch. It's done from inside the cab and is quite simple.
What’s that monitor on the right for ?
That's the monitor for the baler. It tells you what size your bale is while you're rolling.
Great review
What’s the fuel consumption per hour? How many current hours and what problems?
It usually averages 1-2 gallons per hour, depending on how hard we're working it. It's got 400 hours on it as of right now. The only problem we have had was a loader valve went bad.
Awesome video. What model tractor is that? Thanks!
Thanks, it's a 2022 Kubota M6-131.
@@hopsonhayandcattle6328 thanks!
How many hours are you up to on your 4707 and hows it been holding up?
It's got 400 hours on it right now. It's been a really good tractor so far. The only problem we've had with it was the loader valve messed up on it.
😊
Yes, I agree . A great review. Having an honest review makes my choice of this unit so much easier , thanks again - great video.
Great video very informative we are currently thinking about getting an M6 for hay and cattle if you have an instagram or something I’d love to give ya a follow
The M6 is a great tractor for the hay field. I have posted on tiktok a few times, but don't do it often. I mainly focus on UA-cam.
Extremely thorough review, and very helpful. I’m in the market for a round baler and Kubota may owe you some commission here soon. 😆 thanks for all the info
Good overview! Im running a Vermeer 504R now and really like it. When I trade I will be looking hard at the Kubota 5160. I really like the super wide pickup and drop floor on the 5160.
So you ever have trouble with that baler plugging.
The only time it will plug is in really dry and short hay. When it comes to thick hay the baler will roll it as fast as you can drive, which around here the fastest we can run is about 5 to 6 mph.
Great video Levi, thanks have a blessed evening
Great video Levi, thanks
Great video Levi, thanks it helps us on buying new tractor and equipment thanks again have a blessed evening
Great review Levi, thanks it’s helpful for us on buying new tractor, thanks again have a blessed evening
Thanks. Same to you.
I’m the first to watch Levi
I bought my 4707 in February of 2023 . I’ve got like 260 hrs. on it. Help cut Cut around 150 acres hay with a 9 ft. Kune cutter. Bailed 125 4x5 bails hay. Rest of the hay was bailed with a 4420 JD and raked with a 6600 Ford. I mostly use it for cattle operations. Loader is strong. The 4707 has been awesome. Does like the fuel, I will definitely try the 540E while cutting this summer.. Yea the cab filter gets very nasty while bailing hay and it’s dusty.. I clean it out at least twice daily.. Everyone asked would I buy it over and my answer is for sure.. Under def there isn’t a tractor to match the built, strength, quality, and damn good looks for the 4707 Massy. And I was really wanting a John Deere or New Holland.
Great video Levi, very helpful,I am going to try to get one, have a blessed day
Thank, same to you.
i like your massy i have a 4710 myself has plenty of power for the farm.
Great video Levi and great bales, our Kubota dealer here in east Texas are trying to get more of the Kubota balers our there and would like us to try one next year, could you give us a review on that baler what you like and don’t like and also the use of the bale monitor, thanks have a blessed evening
I'll do one as soon as I can, I'm located in East Texas too. Where in East Texas are you located
@@hopsonhayandcattle6328 Yantis Texas ,Wood County
Can I ask a question? How does the 4707 pull that baler? I have a Vermeer 504 R signature, I am looking for a baling tractor.
I've pulled that baler up to 5.5 mph with it with no problem, on really steep ground I have slow down to about 3 to 4 mph.
Man I hate you busted a window on the Kubota. Knock on wood I have had a bunch of hits on my cab windows but never broke one yet but I know its coming one day.
I enjoy these clips from Melbourne Australia cheers Travis 😊
Great video,a review on the tractors will be great,it always helps others on buying and services of the new tractors and equipment and with all the emissions systems, that’s always learning point, thanks Levi have a blessed evening
I knew it wasn't all glitz and glamour, gotta get greasy some time 😂. Keep up the good work!!
Great video, just found your channel and don’t believe I caught your name I have a Kubota and Massey Ferguson tractors and being looking at the Massey Ferguson 4707 when time you think you could give us a review on the 4707 hear different things about that tractor like the jumping clutch and so on so I don’t know about how good they are thanks have a blessed evening
Thanks, my name is Levi. I'll be glad to review it as soon as I get a chance.
What’s name of that song?!!!
Don't That Sound Like Heaven by Palmetto State Quartet.
Another great video, and that is some nice looking hay. Question, I noticed that you don't have any counter weights in the front of your machine and that cutter looks pretty good size. Granted you are on what appears to be level ground, so I would have to assume that the weight of your tractor is sufficient in and of itself to counter that cutter being on there? This may sound like a dumb question, but I don't know jack crap about tractors/implements/ect.
Thanks, the tractor weighs 11,400 pounds. It pulls this 10 foot cutter even on the steep ground we cut with no issues whatsoever.
@@hopsonhayandcattle6328 Perfect, thanks for responding.
Nice video and looks like you did a great job. Can't wait to watch your other video's and with regard to the music, great choice.
Ya'll have a very similar setup as I do. We cut with a M7060 on a Vermeer M6050 3 point and a M6-141 on a Vermeer 8050. Wherever you are located has had WAY more rain than us in south Mississippi. All my fields are basically dead this year which is unheard of. It is even worse to the west, I sold all my hay to a guy that made one way trips from east Texas of 8 hours to get it.
We are located in East Texas. We're in a drought too. This field has been getting rain up until we cut it. The rest of our hay fields are burnt up.
Not having any information on your location I can only assume you are located somewhere that you have fire ants....... by the puffs of dust coming out behind the mower....We are a Hay only operation In S,C,
We are located in East Texas. Fire ants are bad here too.
Where is this. .?
Texas
Nice
I just noticed you are using the shuttle when you start and stop. I perfer to use the brake to clutch when I make a bale then just let my foot off the brake when ready to start again. It is one of my favorite features.
How do you activate that feature? I didn't know it had it.
@@hopsonhayandcattle6328 Button on bottom right of dash. You have to push the button each time you start the tractor which I don't like because once you get used to using just the brake and you forget to push the button when you start the tractor you will push the brake and well, it don't stop lol. It is an awesome feature and great for baling and loader work. Do you have the shuttle button on the loader joystick on yours? I just figured out how to use it by reading the loader manual and it is pretty neat too.
@@boltactionshooter No ours don't have the shuttle button. Thanks for letting me know I'll have to try it.
Could you check your weight w/ the dealer, ? I think if your tractor came out of the factory pre equipped with the loader and weights your weight tag may be correct, I'd like to know. Definitely want to see you work this unit, looking at a 4710 myself and want to see if any problems surface. I know that there is a gentleman "papa joe" whom may have to lemon law his tractor, pto problems, cracked the front right hub and some other issues. Farmers are not rich, these tractor are a chunk of money and they have to work. Good looking unit, can't wait to see more videos.
It weighs 9,920 with the loader and wheel weights that it came with. We've put 230 hours on it with zero issues. 50 percent of those hours are pulling a Kuhn GMD800 10-foot hay cutter.
Keep it going brother love the farm life
Love Kubota tractors. 👍👍👍
They sure are good tractors.
They save the banks and let families lose there family's farm
Dang that is some fancy equipment you are working with, I'm used to old and run down equipment. Just curious what camera are you using? Edit: P.S. Love the music! God bless
Camera is an AKASO ek7000.
Quick question. Does your PTO turn off if you get out of the seat if brake is on and shuttle is in nuetural?
If the brake is on it doesn't turn off.
Ok thats what i remember. Dealer servived the PTO. Now with brake on the alarm goes off and turns PTO off with in 10 sec. Guess ill call dealer. Manual states if brake is on you can bypass that by turning PTO ON OFF ON withing 3 seconds and it should stay running. Guess we will see what dealer says. Mine is a 2021.
I have the same tractor, just bought it a few weeks ago, I love it so far. They aren't the smoothest riding tractor in the world, pretty rough doing anything over 5.5mph but they are tractors not Cadillacs so I'm ok with that. Thinking of going with the same baler too, yours looks like it does a good job. Your hay looks to be doing very well.
Considering a 141. I sat in one at the farm show earlier this year. I was extremely impressed with the interior
@Cameron Nalley The cabs are nice and roomy, nice seat, good controls. I looked at the same size tractors of several name brands before settling on my m6. I haven't regretted it yet.
@@Digger927 I had a 2008 Deere 6330 and that was the cheapest feeling cab I’ve ever been in. Getting in that kubota kinda relit my interest in new tractors. Also looking at a deutz
@@nalley6815 I have a friend that bought a new 6030 Deutz the same time I bought my Kubota. He likes it but he was already a Deutz fan. Dealer support here for them was too big an obstacle for my money but he didn't care. I'm pretty happy with my M6.
@@Digger927 I’m looking at getting either a Kub m6-141 or a Deutz 6140. The thing is, if they’re both powershift. The kubota has a much nicer transmission with the 8 powershifts through 3 ranges. The deutz only has 3 powershifts. So for the powershift trannys I’d much rather have the M6. BUT deutz has the TTV transmission which is really really nice!!!! Cost a little more, but extremely nice. You even get an SCV on the tranny “stick”? Whatever you want to call it. It’s real nice. The 6140 and M6 are about the same money. I just have to pick a dealer I guess. The kubota dealer, I’m not lying to you, is like 2 miles away. Deutz dealer is a little over an hour away. But I HATE my kubota dealer. Bunch of assholes up there. But it’s close. Hard decisions! Deutz also has a little more hydraulic flow. Kubota has much better financing though. Decisions……. What do you mean about dealer support though? The dealer specifically or Deutz as a whole?
Looks like you y'all are happy with that new M6 so far. I just closed the deal on a new M6-141 and can't wait to get it in the hay field.
You liking it so far?
@@nalley6815 I t is still at the dealer. I am overseas at work and get home and pick it up in about 10 more days.
Hope you like it we're liking ours so far.
