I had to with this type of machine, NuStar is basically unheard of in the Chicagoland area!

They really made this thing look really nice, it basically looks brand new!

I honestly think it's a Soft Touch Plus because of its mid-pressure rinse pass before the rinse pass, just since I have seen it on the Soft Touch Plus machines.

It honestly is a really cool machine, it does seem to be a little of an older model but they really take care of it. The Sonny's dryers seem to be taken from possibly one of their old tunnels, and the Laserdri remains from the 4000 that was here previously.

@@cdh77any cars that sit lower than 5” I do not believe will be able to go over the undercarriage nozzles, this is just basing off of the vehicles that they can’t wash sign they have posted. There is a time limit usually for the undercarriage rinse, it usually depends on who is the operator for how much time they set. You should be able to go relatively slow through the undercarriage and be just fine. I want to say you usually get 15-20 seconds for undercarriage.

@@BingChing-u9w these things are obsolete. I understand why they’re getting replaced, as I don’t think many parts are out there and technology has gotten better with these new car washes.

@ the only thing that would explain that is either a new chemical provider, or the velvet touch just had the air pressure turned up on the brushes so it was more aggressive, compared to the Mark VII Softline which is a lot less aggressive than what was shown in this video as an example.

For sure! I saw some photos of the Barracuda in Nashville, and the covers they had made for the arms were pretty interesting. $200,000+ seems a little excessive for a machine, but it definitely stands out among other machines. The trailer they use to install the system I think is pretty interesting too, wonder how it'll work out in the future. If they make any revisions to the machine as you said, would be interesting to see what they do to it.

@@carwashslayer4235 yeah it is interesting, but it’s a nice thing to offer. Both people from the automatic bays or self service bays can use it if they want, or they can use the handheld dryers located in the self service bays.

This wash really didn't clean the car either. It just sprayed a bunch of chemicals and water on it. From what I know, the 4000 that used to be here also did not clean cars. They really need to get the chemicals straightened out there as they aren't working out.

@@Danmandingo I have to agree, car washes are very relaxing.

@@Alex.AL_26I wasn’t even the only car who went through in the rain. It was just a light shower at the time and it wasn’t a big storm at all so it really wasn’t a big deal.

@@LoneStarCarWashes-dc3er I really like Accutrac machines as well. You really can’t ever go wrong with one of them. The oscillating nozzle in the middle is Premier’s new drying nozzle! It’s very interesting for sure.

I do have to say they are really thorough, their wash was really nice and car came out clean. Even with the price the washes are, I’d have to say give it a try just to see and compare to other washes.

I visited a day after they opened, so they had a free wash promotion that I was able to take advantage of. Luckily I didn’t end up having to pay $30 for a car wash.

It was a really nice wash! Did not expect the airstream dryers to be gone but they have probably been here since the late 80s/early 90s when the wash opened.

The old sidekick dryers were working just fine so there was no point in getting rid of them, they were perfect for getting the side of the car dry.

The closest one I know of that would be decent is in Bartlett at Valvoline. There are touchless washes in Bloomingdale but have been ran down by the new owners.
