If you're going to build a replica car just to look at..... You'll find a plastic model kit serves the same purpose and costs tens of thousands of dollars less.

this means that the 220 s bought in the mid 80´s to a old man still driving it perfect is from the 50´s with big fins also have other with fins but diesel and seems to have 50 h.p with two round lights in the front one in each side it´s an E-class of those days

I remember working on the 108’s back in the early 80’s, working for my father. I recall only one customer having a 6.3- we had quite a few who had the 4.5 v-8. European spec cars always looked and performed better than their American spec counterparts. Then the “Grey Market Cars “ came to the States. Beautiful car, good luck with it.

Rather a nice, straight and original old car, and with a few issues attended to, it would be quite spot on: 1. Replace those cheap, nasty tyres with correct Avon Turbosteel 235 70 15 2. Finish off the paintwork to body and wheel discs with a correct, red coachline 3. Replace those awful wiper blades with a correct set 4. Replace the missing rubber bonnet stops and suspension pot bolt caps 5. For God’s sake get the black Bakelite tip to the gear range selector level, and position it correctly as shown in the handbook
