I am an anchor, producer, and reporter for WWAY in Wilmington, NC. I started out reporting at WWAY right after getting a degree in Digital and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Georgia. After about a year of reporting full time, I took over the weekend anchor/ producer position. On Sundays, I produce and anchor the 6:00 and 11:00 evening shows. On Monday through Thursday, I report as a multi-media journalist. I also fill-in as an anchor for the evening shows when I am needed. love telling stories. I also take pride in my ability to shoot, write, edit, and go live with an entire story or two in one day. Occasionally, I will do all of that and then, also anchor the evening show if someone is out. This is my job, but it is also my passion.

For the first time since being born on May 21, three Asian small-clawed otter pups joined their parents Quincy and Leia in their habitat for the public to see Wednesday morning. I find it odd that this particular news report and article are the only two sources of public information on this case (besides what I assume are 2 articles from starnews which are guarded by a paywall). I just wonder why her family hasn’t seemed to make a public effort into seeking justice for her, but I’m not here to make assumptions and I understand that it might be tough for them. Thank you Michael Bowen for giving us some insight into Charlene’s character, she sounded like a great lady. And thank you for reporting on this. Such a strange and sad case.
