With her songs on Light, Love, connectedness, music and nature, Marja's warm, radiant voice reaches out to the hearts of the audience, where her lyrics awaken ancient wisdom with a kiss.
Marja's extensive repertoire guarantees an inspiring depth with a cheerful note.
Marja de Jong studied singing, conducting and composing at the conservatories of Arnhem and The Hague (NL). She coaches (professional) singers. After graduation Marja switched to mostly light classical repertoire, s.a. folk, medieval, singer-songwriter and meditative music.
This refined multi-instrumentalist accompanies herself mostly on Celtic harp, alternated with many unusual instruments like a.o. domra, lute (oud), psalterium, zither, tanpura, harpsichord, several ukes, (foot pumped) handharmonium, melodica, concertina, and... loop station.

Is dat echt Bots' "Wat zullen we drinken"? En "Greensleeves:? Klinkt heel goed met de harp(en) Goed te zien dat jij ook inj kerken optreedt. Het schijnt de enige plek te zijn waar dat nu nog kan.
Ja, Bots heeft het van een Bretons volksliedje. Ook Greensleeves, met andere teksten weliswaar. Dank voor uw reactie. Ook kerken kan nu trouwens niet, helaas, maar alle opnames zijn van voordien. Er staan wel al concerten, nu nog hopen dat het kan doorgaan, want dat betekent dat we er met zijn allen zo goed als boven kunnen staan.
