මෙම ගීතය 1960 රාජ් කපූර් නිෂ්පාදනය කල "ජිස් දේශ් මේං ගංගා බෙහෙතී හෙයි" චිත්රපටයේ අඩංගු ලතා මංගෙශ්කාර් ගැයූ 'හොමෙනේ ප්යාර් කියා' ගීතයට අනුව නිර්මාණය වූවකි. සංගීතවත් කලේ ශංකර් - ජායිකිෂන් ය. 1968 ලංකාවේ තිරගතවුන 'අක්ක නගෝ' චිත්රපටයේ අඩංගු වූ ගලනා සීත ජලේ ගීතයට යොදාගෙන තිබුන දර්ශනය හින්දි චිත්රපටයේ මෙන්ම කාන්තාවන් ජලාශයක නාන දර්ශනයකි. තම චිත්රපට 20 ක් ෆිල්ම් ෆෙයාර් සම්මානයට නම් යෝජනා වූ ශංකර්, ජායිකිෂන් ඉන් 9 වතාවක්ම හොඳම සංගීත අධ්යක්ෂණය සඳහා ෆිල්ම් ෆෙයාර් සම්මානය හිමි කරගෙන ඇත. පැරණි ජනප්රිය සිංහල ගීත රැසක් , ශංකර් සහ ජායිකිෂන් සංගීතවත් කල හින්දි චිත්රපටයට ගීත තනු ඇසුරින් නිර්මාණය වී ඇත. ඉන් කිහිපයක් නම්, මම ආදරෙයි කියන්නම්, ප්රේම මාගෙ ආහාරේ, නංගී නංගී රූපිකා, පෝ දින පායා තරූ, ආදරය නිසා, ආදරේ හිතෙනව දැක්කම, අප දෙන්නා පොකුනයි පියුමයි, එපා එන්න කියලා, වයන්න සිතාරෙ, සැලෙන ලෙලෙන, සැංගී සැංගී ඈත සූර්යා දිලෙන්නා, දල්වව් බැති ආදර පෙම්, කළ්යාණියෙ ඔබ නෑසූ, වැනි ගීත වේ.ක්
