Tremendous courage mate.. thays right up there in my books. God bless you brother..
Great job! I’m envious ( and impressed) love to know how your boat is setup, rigged, electronics etc...
Top effort mate...
Bloody awesome job cobber. I as born and bred in Lorne and watching this video motivated the crap out of me. Love to meet you some time because I am going from Apollo Bat to King island myself but a fair bit bigger boat...my juices are flowing...
Bloody epic on all levels. True Aussie grit mate!
Nice boat c#nteyes!! Good to see your hair is still ASODs compliant.
You are a real Serb bro!
Well done. Thankyou for your service.
respect what a way to bring some awareness to your fight mate
Terrific cottage on land and water! Good luck with the sailing.
Awesome achievement. I heard a quote that more people have climbed Everest than sailed across the Tasman. If this is even half true, then reflects the extend of the challenge. Full respect to you having done it solo!!
Top effort mate 👍 look forward to seeing what you and Joey get up to
Congrats mate well Done. Fantastic effort! Brave indeed
Well done thank you for your service and wow you are a great inspiration to Australia
Awesome solo effort James! Ocean sailing is tough going, some days it feels like a grind and it's bloody hard work, other days it's pure magic. I'm glad you have great support from your wife and friends, keep living the dream!
Love your work mate.looking forward to seeing a new vid
Great job mate.
Awesome effort. As others have said you got Don to comment and that DOES mean something. I only did half of that trip many years ago and not alone. I got to share my sea sickness with 5 others. Don’t ever down play your efforts, it is most definitely a major achievement. Well done.
Well done mate. Aussie Legend. Thank you for serving our country. If you look closely on your return journey, I may have seen your Black Dog fall overboard hopefully never to be seen again. Good luck in finding that young man again. Keep smiling and stay strong. 💪💪💪👍👍👍
Awesome Effort, you have achieved more than 99.999999% of people would ever dream to dare.
Well done James. Perhaps you will never find the 21 y.o. version of yourself, but something better. Of course i have no understanding of your experiences in service , however I can't help feeling that the accomplishment you have gained from this and future en-devours will continue to shape you in a positive way.
As much as I love sailing, I could never do what you have done. You are an inspiration to all of us. (I'm also Gordo trained).
Sailing cheers for watching. Gordo is a great bloke
Well done mate.
Bloody Awesome, You absolute legend. Thanks for sharing your journey and thoughts, you deserve a cold beer and a free steak. Did the rod catch you a feed?
What a fantastic effort! Great stuff, they say a sailors plans are written in sand, I'd add that sailing without wind is the greatest challenge of all sometimes too. Huge, huge achievement, be proud. Whats next?? Cheers and thanks for sharing the adventure :-)
Sailing Taranto cheers. Next is ocean racing. After doing the Sydney to Hobart on a Volvo 60 I want that experience again many times over. Not as a skipper for a while. I need a bit of a break.
Bro, from one sailor to another.... FULL RESPECT. Passage making isn't a walk in the park even with professional crew let alone 1up. Thank you for the technical commentary. Also appreciate your personal honestly. Bloody well done sailor. Respect from Pittwater.
Thank you very much for watching and cheers for the comment
@@JimmyPras ment every word brother. Respect.
Hey James...Great stuff! And you just got the Don McIntyre tick of approval - now that's saying something! I'm really pleased that I bumped into your video. I sailed Auckland to Brizzy via Lord Howe last June on a 38' cat. Plenty of bad weather on our trip...destroyed the main sail between Lord Howe and Brizzy. Are you still in NZ?
Very happy don saw it and even commented. Back home in Geelong Victoria. Sailed back solo again. Interesting trip as well. It can be a wild place.
Great job...well done..Planning , Preperation and perfect execution..ticked all the boxes!! :)
Don McIntyre thank you so much for watching. I have watched you and buttercup sail the world many times. I have followed you through all of your adventures and am honoured that you have seen this video and have commented.
Good on you. That must have taken so much guts and perseverance, especially after serving in the adf and coming away with the problems you mentioned in the video. All the best.

Well done mate. Look forward to your sailing Vid's. We are taking Vet's & E.M.S. personnel with PTSD out sailing on a Wellness program. Cheers, Tex. Rtd Submariner. T.P.I.
