@@zexura omg thank you so much, hes also done a lot of fucked up things that i will not mention but my parents were trying to protect me and i did not listen at all ive healed myself and i dont speak to him and his friends anymore because of the emotinal distress it caused me. i thought it was cool and amazing that an older guy was like talking to me when i found out his actual age but now i look back and im like 'girl nooo red flag''

there is a thrift store here that’s supports women escaping abusive relationships and i’m trying to set up a drop off date bc lots of the clothes is new/never used! i’ll definitely look into those as well!!

You need to start somewhere. If you do it again next year, customers might remember you and be happy to reconnect and buy again. I used to work a high end flea market in Cupertino, so many sales were to repeat customers. I sold handmade baby bibs and other baby items and was well received as a craftsman of sorts. It was a lot of work and each month my booth got better equipped for sales. My daughter was my right hand man, from 7th grade all the way through her first year of college, every month without fail. Taking care of your clients, be it a deal, smile or a friend to talk to, I always had an extra chair for people to sit and visit. I am really looking forward to being a participant again next year and having a better equipped set up. That sounds like a lovely experience you got to share with your daughter + it probably taught her some good lessons heading into the adult world! The overall experience was a solid 8.5/10 and that’s only because of my lack of preparation so not really a fair score hahaha, but hopefully next year i’ll redeem myself! Garage sale people are cheap as all get out. I have had people straight up steal brand new stuff that was $1. We chased down someone that stole a brand new life jacket who then acted like they just forgot to pay. They also like to try to confuse you to pay less. Had a guy get some tools, ask what the price was. He made a pile and kept adding to it then expected to pay the first price before he added more tools. We had a bike up for sale for $25. I heard my sister tell him the price, then he came over to me and try to tell me that she said $15. I said that I heard her tell him it was $25 and that it was not for sale any longer. I hate liars and cheats.
almost all of these exact instances occurred to me hahaha, but i decided to only speak on one bc as much as those experiences were weird or slightly rude, i had an extremely positive experience regardless and got to meet lots of really nice people in my community!
