Mankato, MN. Sibley Park. Took the drone up for some good footage of the flooding going on. Rapid increase in temp melted a lot of snow fast, and this is the result. Enjoy.

Zip lining in Henderson MN 2015! Birthday Fun!
Awesome video!
Someone somewhere upstream pushed a load of trees in to the river “not my problem” Well thanks a lot !
The music makes the érosion happen quicker.
Time to remove the dam and let the river flow naturally!
Don't mess with water!
Great video! caught it in all its stages. Wish I had my drone during the higher water stages to get shots of, yours is very well documented!
Thanks! I seen yours too. Looks good. I shot this with my mavic pro 3
Can’t believe there isn’t a “all hands onboard” effort to remove the dam and redirect the river to protect from further erosion!
No need, the river has cut a new channel. The banks will stabilize.
I would imagine they're in the planning/securing funding stage. The erosion will be less/slower now that the flow is back down to normal.
Thanks. I was doubtful that the erosion would get close to the store, but it certainly did. I think all concerned did the best they could in a terrible situation.
Mama Nature always wins
Great video of the aftermath.
I guess they didn't see the need for an emergency spillway so the river created one for itself.
07/29/24: SUPERB choice of music. Thank you.
Thank you for posting
You're welcome
What's the deal w the jaunty music while watching devastation???
The audio is UA-cam audio. Categorized as Sad. Enjoy
They lost there home an Store Sue For Millions They did not keep you safe
Sad to see the family lose their home and then their store. I heard that the county bought the store before they removed it. I hope the county also paid for their house and land. The dam was recommended to be removed years ago but they did not do it.
people voted on it and over 80% said no
Where did all the silt end up? No one is talking about this, but is should be a serious result of the dam failure.
By some estimates it has released 100 years worth of sediment in the river for several miles down stream. May cause issues with certain species on their spawning sites and possibly benefit other species. Mother nature has its hands full but this is the natural environment and this river will be changed forever both good and bad
What’s with the music👎👎👎👎💩💩😬
Non copyrighted UA-cam studio music. Glad you enjoyed it!
That erosion really shows up the pre-cambrian rock.
It’s sad to see American infrastructure crumbling, cities in decay, debt at astronomical levels while they continue to spend on the military. It’s a sad future for America.
Contrast this to the Flat Bridge in Jaimaca after Beryl flooded the river. There is a live camera at the Flat Bridge which showed that a back hoe showed up and begin to clear the log jam at the bridge. Shortly after an excavator arrived and cleared the log jam. The whole thing took about 2.5 hours. America used to have that "can do" attitude where things got done.
Once the music was lowered to "nearly off", it was an informative watch.
music aint that bad, jeez
Haha I even lowered the dB by 20 decibels to make sure there were no issues Have a great day
Nice video quickly showing all the damage done and what became of the buildings. Going to be a bit scary running the corn this fall.
Fingers crossed!
Das sind alte Bilder.
If you do some research on this. This is not old. Happened June 24th, 2024. Read this article, and if you'd like to google for more go ahead. www.fox9.com/weather/rapidan-dam-failure-videos-photos
Maybe I'm jaded, but I automatically avoid or pause & exit any video that exhorts "watch 'til the end!"
That’s no problem. The end shows the 3rd day at the dam and how everything is gone now. There you go, now you know.
Sad but great footage
Why did the store building get demolished?
I think I read they were going to move it but turns out it was to fragile to move so they tore it down.
To prevent the possibility of it falling into the river due to continued erosion of the bank, and thus creating debris that could create damage to structures downstream. I read that the original plan was to try to move the entire building but I guess that wasn't possible. You may have noticed there was another building across the road from the store building that was closer to the eroding river bank that was also torn down and removed, likely for the same reasons.
The dam did not fail. The spillway failed.
It doesn't make you seem any more intelligent being like he didn't die from getting shot he died from blood loss
Does it even matter? You must be real fun at parties....
what spillway
Great Video!!
I have drum breaks in the back
Could you do a gas tank job on a 2004 honda accord ex
At 3:43 I just started laughing cause at this point I’d just dunk the whole car in PB blaster 😂 Very informative video though I really appreciate it :)
Just dunk it! Haha basically! Thanks for the comment!
Nice video bro 👌🏽
My 92 year old friend just did this at this place about a week ago plus he’s legally blind! Woo! Hoo! I’m younger. I’m chicken! But it sure looks like Fun ZIP ITY DOO DAH! What a Wonderful day! Blessings on your business!😂
remove the whole caliper rather then the brake hose then you wont have to bother bleeding the brake system when done...
How many hours did it take you
Best video on this. Thank you. Did you order OEM parts or aftermarket?
Thanks! Ordered through rock auto.com Tank+new pump $436 shipped .
True Minnesotan cooking! I liked that you utilized your environment and used the drift as a table for the pork chops lol
Glad you liked it!
What's the depth of how deep the tank is ? Far as from the access panel where the opening to the pump starts?
Helpful vid for sure! I've got an 02 accord as well. I assuming you have the V6 since you have rotor breaks? I have the 2.3l and my rear breaks are drum. But I've got a leak somewhere. I just found a small spot of gas on my garage floor so I'm not looking forward to doing all this....
4 cylinder here! Maybe its something to do with the trim level? My old tank was leaking through the metal. Not jsut at thje seams.
Right at 41 seconds I can hear the saftey click off. I think he may have heard you instead of winding you.
You are correct as to when I pulled the safety off. I had done that as he passed behind a tree, allowing me to get the gun into position. No way to know of course if it was that or my scent. I will say my camera definitely magnifies sounds a lot, and it really isn’t that loud honestly. Thanks for the comment !
Looks like a successful day of hunting to me... all this big buck talk is crazy. Not everyone hunts for trophies, I for example am just as happy to shoot a doe as I would be a buck. I couldn’t care less about rack size. It is just an added bonus for me. The important thing is making a clean ethical kill which was done in this video. Congrats on the deer and I hope to see more to come
Thanks for the nice comment! If half of the people knew the area we hunt in, they would know to not pass up a shot at a deer for meat. I will be filming my wife’s first deer hunt in a couple weeks. She’s been out, but no deer yet. Consider subscribing if you haven’t already! Much appreciated
Only doe meat goes in my freezer
Great video! Subscribed for more videos and updates! Keep up the great work!
Why do you need a grate temperature probe when there is a built in thermometer in lid?
because the temp is different at grate level vs dome level. dome temp doesnt tell you what the temp is where your meat actually is
did you post this only to show how lucky you got? you not only did not get the kill shot on camera, but you are busted chambering the round and switching your safety off. if this was a mature buck you would have not gotten the shot even. congratulations, you killed a buck anyone else filming a hunt would have passed on.
brad koste The gun is already chambered for one... who goes hunting without a round in the chamber??? After my shot I chambered a new shell. I was busted from wind direction, and the small sound of the safety coming off??? He didn’t hear that man. As far as a mature buck, guess what buddy.. if I passed him, there’d be no meat in my freezer. Can’t cook the horns. Everyone hunts for different reasons. Anyways, thanks for commenting on my video! Now I’m gonna go over to your channel and see what you have for a big buck..
Oh wait..... you have no videos..... keyboard warrior alert
@@BraamsFamilyFarm then what is the click you can clearly hear?
@@BraamsFamilyFarm neither do you this was a horseshit clumbsy less than amateur video.
Just an FYI: Try controlling temp with top vent only, with bottom vent wide open. You find it’s much easier to control temps with only 1 variable.
I use both vents. It's super easy to control temps on the egg. I've had it now for 2 years. To each their own of course! Thanks for watching.
I am going to try that, Thanks. Please ignore nickname and file photo.
Cut the ribs man! You cut off like a bad movie
I lost the footage! Went to edit and the footage was corrupted for some reason. My bad!
Hi there, How long do you wait until you close the lid? And also do you put the wood right away when you light the charcoal?
Morris Lightman I close the lid after about five minutes. And I put the wood on once my temperature is achieved at 2:25 generally but in this video I put it in well below that temperature
Good video man! Would of liked to seen you cut those ribs lol
I had footage of the cutting, but it was corrupted when I went to edit! Lost the footage!
U can't get shot on camera don't shoot
This deserves more views! I subbed
Thanks! There will be more videos to come for sure!
