At first, I didn’t know this cartoon existed but now I know that does
I still don’t know this exists
Does any one have the commercial break bumpers for this show when it was rebroadcast in reruns as part of Bohbot's Entertainment Amazin' Adventures syndicated programming package in 1992-93?
I had the dvd of this that I found in a charity shop so long ago. It was great
The Wizard of Oz (1990 ABC animated series based on the 1939 film of the same name). Reran in syndication (Amazin' Adventures), HBO, and later Toon Disney.

This is like one of the best TV shows to exist. The show has accuracies to the original film from 1939. But, however, the difference is that the show has Oz that is a real place when Dorothy actually dreamed all about it.
Oz was actually a real place in the original books. The film changed it to a dream since sequels weren't as trendy back then and the director thought nobody would like it. Anyway, while the show does look accurate to the film, it really doesn't have anything in common with the books beyond making Oz a real place again. 😅 Funnily enough, despite the cartoon showing the monkeys reviving the Witch, the winged monkeys actually detested the Wicked Witch of the West in both the film and books, and you can even see one, Nikko, celebrating with the Winkie guards after the Witch's death in the movie. This was because the witch used an enchanted golden cap, which had a magical hold over the monkeys, to enslave them in the book. You can even briefly see the same golden cap in the movie too when she's yelling at one of her monkeys in front of the crystal ball.🔮
@chefsalty9316 Speaking of the monkeys, the monkey in this series is named, Truckle. And, in the Boomerang series, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, there are two and they are named after the author of the Oz franchise. But, except they don’t have a third one named Baum. Only two that are named Lyman and Frank. What bugged me a little is that unlike the DiC series, the Winkies do not appear in the Boomerang series. Maybe, because they stopped being slaves to the Witch of the West like you said that they celebrated her death.
Its a shame they never finished it
If coronation Street Christmas 1996 Maureen is the scarecrow Ann the Tin man and Maxine as the lion would be funny if curly travel to see of to see the weatherfiled
Does anyone have a South Carolina TV Guide from the early 1990's (1992-93) that mentions "The Wizard of Oz" animated series reruns? I want to see proof that they aired in my state (if they did). It used to come on when repeats aired on early Saturday mornings on the syndicated Bohbot Entertainment's Amazin! Adventures block on the Charleston, South Carolina Fox affiliate WTAT 24.
The Wizard of Oz reruns was used to air on WTAT Fox 24, syndicated on Bohbot Entertainment's Amazin! Adventures programming block on early Saturday mornings at 6:00am in 1992 to 1993.

At the same time from 1992 to 1993, HBO showed The Wizard of Oz animated show, it was being shown syndicated on the weekends during Amazin! Adventures block.

It is so funny how The Wizard of Oz animated series aired on The Disney Channel, syndication, HBO and Toon Disney through the 90's and the early 2000's.
The Wizard of Oz later aired in reruns, in cable syndication on The Disney Channel from November 3, 1991 to May 1992, in syndication as part of Bohbot Entertainment's Amazin' Adventures, on HBO from 1992 to 1997, and lastly on Toon Disney from 1998 to 2002.
I watched The Wizard of Oz animated series by DiC on ABC, syndication, HBO and Toon Disney in cable syndicated reruns.
HBO aired this 1990 series rerunning from 1992 up until 1997.

My opinion with an old school reference. No soap theme screams "Love In the Afternoon" like GH's Faces of the Heart

Based on the 1900 book with the same name
I really would have liked to have seen how this could've played out. Oh well...too bad they never saved the Wizard. 😕
