My dad and I were driving home from an event, and we passed by this parachute area. Everyone was landing down, but one guy was doing the death spiral. I hadn't known what that was, so I thought the guy was falling to his death, so I covered my mouth and exclaimed, "Oh my god!" But he was fine

@@dubbledi5426 Yes; I was among the very first pilots to fly paragliders in the US in the 1990s. Then after years of watching paragliders maim and kill many expert hang glider pilot friends; I gave up paragliding. Understand that paragliding requires one fourth the skill but FOUR times the judgement of hang gliding. Don't believe me; just ask Mad Mitch.

The only way is to pull the brake( line) while it’s in the front, like any reflex, you would break the profile 😵💫
