Union Pacific & BNSF Loaded Ethanol Train Chase
Hello again everyone, This is my first video of 2025. This video was a exciting journey and my first time shooting along the CSXT Old Main Line Subdivision. Not to mention before we set off to the Old Main Line Subdivision, We first went to Baltimore MD to catch I032-17 at two different locations with the CSXT 1853 New York Central leading. Right as we arrived into Weverton MD we first captured M415-17 with a surprise switcher for Vulcan number 1153 for a Bonus. After a few mins B729-16 Rounds the corner as my friend Junior Martinez formerly M&B Railfan to now DMV_TrainChaser was telling me that the train was 30 mins away and I point out the train is here a funny moment to begin the chase on the Old Main Line Subdivision. We than hit up a few locations on the Old Main such as Reels, Hoods, Woodstock MD and Relay MD. Onwards to the location on the Curtis Bay Branch Subdivision we went through Curtis Bay pacing the train with a friendly crew on board before ending our train chase at Curtis Bay Kinder Morgan Baltimore Transload Terminal in Baltimore Maryland. Many thanks to my good friend for the wonderful chase and a couple of good luck trains as well.
Not in the video was CSXT I104-16 with CSXT 1851 NC&STL Heritage Unit, NS 595 Building in consol with NS 1070 Wabash Railroad Heritage unit, and two Marc Old Generation Locomotives being MARC EX NJT 4145 GP40PH-2 and MARC 68 GP40WH-2 the Last Red Nose.

@@jakewynn These were built and deployed in revenue service to begin service to Huntington Virginia and Fairfax for the first time in 1983, I don’t know if they are automated but it seems they are. I think around the 2000s they had IGBT added.
lol im glad i dont have to feel like a weirdo being obsessed with Metro when I was a kid. Me and my dad rode it for 6 hours once because he knew I liked it. We got the full Orange line and full Red line in one session once and I was just looking out this same window for the entire time! The new train cars they have now are modern and cool but dont offer this luxury from what I remember when the last time I rode Metro. They also dont make the same unique sounds I was used to growing up.
Ahhh thats good glad ya had a great time with them. I rode them myself they are quite interesting cars. I will sure miss them a lot with their iconic scheme and wonderful sounds.
I haven't been in dc since 2019 (I was almost 10 and a heavy train enthusiast) I was able to ride atleast 1 2K for the first and last time
