This might sound odd, but im pretty sure the orange princess is dead and since she got that clown form like the clown enemy does from the painter boss fight then im pretty sure she got killed at painter's home and he just really drew out another orange princess
we had a 4 player run, and restarted multiple times. 1 guy was unable to get any -bi-- princesses so he whined and we gave him the last one since we actually finally sat down for a full run. and he got trolled and was so mad lmao
When you pay attention you can see that the original orange princess is dead as shown in the paintings in the painter's room there is a drawing of the orange princess with a sword on her back. So in the end of the game it isn't actually the princess she actually got replaced by a clown
