TRIMMING THE REAR | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING
Переглядів 412Місяць тому
Today, I will be demonstrating how to trim the rear of our dog. Our goal is a smooth and flat finish that shows off the rear angulation from the side and there is not an over abundance of hair impeding the overall picture. We hope this video was helpful to you as you navigate owning an English Cocker Spaniel! Don't forget to enjoy the journey with your dog:)
FEET | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING
Переглядів 1,8 тис.4 місяці тому
Today, I will be demonstrating how to trim the feet. Just like other parts of our dog, how we trim them will determine how our dog appears, if they have flat feet or round cat feet. This video discusses the different tools used and how to achieve the ideal foot. We hope this video was helpful to you as you navigate owning an English Cocker Spaniel! Don't forget to enjoy the journey with your dog:)
TRIMMING THE HOCK | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING
Переглядів 1,1 тис.5 місяців тому
In this video I will be demonstrating how to trim the hocks of our dog. Depending on how we trim the hock will determine how our dog appears, if they have a longer or shorter looking hock depending on the angle of the hair. This would be how a show dog is trimmed, with a pet it is less of a priority to have the hair this long and at these specific angles so we would typically trim it much short...
CLIPPERWORK | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING

Today we have a special guest, Linus as we do an overview of basic clipper work. The work done in this video is typically completed before the bath but can be done after as well. Disclaimer: We understand that clipping the whiskers is prohibited in some countries, however it is common practice here in the U.S.A. Clipping the whiskers may inhibit sensory perception slightly but does not cause th...
PAW PAD TRIM | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING
Переглядів 3,5 тис.6 місяців тому
In this video we will be demonstrating how to trim the hair between the pads of our dog's foot. This is something that should be done with care and can greatly improve our dogs quality of life and confidence when moving on more slippery surfaces. This is a common place for mats and tangles and should be kept short for hygienic purposes. We hope this video was helpful to you as you navigate owni...
EAR WRAPPING | THE BASICS | DOG GROOMING
Переглядів 2,2 тис.6 місяців тому
Ever wonder how a dog's ear hair stays so perfect when they are being shown?! Today we have a special guest, Winnie, as we quickly demonstrate how to properly wrap an English Cocker's ear. This is only done at shows for a short amount of time, usually walking from being on the grooming table to being ringside. Its purpose is to keep the ear hair smooth, straight and clean after just being washe...
SCENTWORK | VEHICLE SEARCH | DOG TRAINING
Переглядів 1427 місяців тому
In this video, Ernie and Tessa will be practicing scentwork by finding three unique hides. Each hide is a metal tin which contains a Q-tip that has been dipped in one of three essential oils, birch, anise or clove. They will be challenged with finding each unique scent on a car outside on a lightly breezy day. The breeze does carry the scent from the front to the back of the vehicle which you w...

Can you share amrican akita dog show grooming video
Does this work for puppies? Mine is 13 weeks. He won't sit still long enough for me to clean his ears with ear wipes, so I bought an ear cleaner rinse to try. We just started training, so while he doesn't mind me touching his ears, he has a ton of puppy energy and always thinks it's playtime.
Another very helpful video. Earnie is one chill boy! Thank you for the video and your good work.
He’s a lovely boy 😊
What an amazing animal - dogs are THE best!!!
Another great video -- very helpful. You're a natural teacher, and your care for your dogs is evident. Thank you!
Thank’s for this tips

Nice video! Could you tell me the model name of your finishing scissors please? Thanks a lot
That is one gorgeous animal.
Any tips for teaching a 3.5 month puppy to tolerate get his ears clipped?
Thank you
I love your videos ❤❤❤ Please make one on how to ptoperly use the scissors and what are those color rings that you wear. Greetings from Cancun. Wanda says hello too.
Your videos are phenomenal.
I was going to order ball tipped curved scissors to trim my yorkies face (For safety) would the ball tip get in the way trimming around the feet?
@@Riam-i6e They will work fine🤍
She is totally adorable, thanks for posting the video ❤
What brand of curved sheers are you using ? Thanks
@@lauramorris9817 I’m using Aussie Dog shears in this video!

❤❤❤❤cool😊😊
Thanks
Thank you. Back view of trimming was especially helpful.
Thank you for the positive feedback!
It would have been nice to see the entire process.
Stay tuned! We have more coming! We like to break it down into short and simple videos on various dogs rather than showing the whole groom in one go on one dog:)
Tessa running around in the background ❤
I WISHD ID HAD DOG LIKE THAT
I have Springers, but I am loving your videos. if you have not already done one… I would love to see how you blend from the clipped ears into the stripped head
My English cocker spaniel is field bred, through and through. She's only a puppy (8 mos) but I have no idea how to trim her coat! She looks nothing like the confirmation bred ECS. Ernie is very handsome and very well behaved!
Boston area dual ECS owner here, looks like a great place just wish it were a bit closer to me. Love the cocker too!
I have two ECS brother and sister, one has a fine coat that is easy to brush where the other does not and is both a pain to brush plus mats quickly. I wish mine would stay so calm when I brush them, it is a chore. Good video and what a good looking dog
Thank you. Ear clipper work demonstration is especially helpful!
Lots of really good information! Thank you. You deserve many more subscribers.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Very helpful! You're a natural teacher!
This is the best video demonstration of pad trimming I have seen. Thank you!
Glad to have helped, thank you!!
How do you avoid the water from getting into the ears
As long as no water is directed into the ear it’s typically not an issue. If it’s a concern, the ear can be flushed following the bath with an alcohol based cleaner that will dry out any moisture! They make products specifically for this purpose.
What a beautiful, happy dog...and those ears are truly magnificent!!
Thank you🥰
Bitte links für die Schere und das andere. Danke
Great work! You made a beautiful dog look grand.
Such a beautiful sweet gentle boy..... Mine looks like a Yeti.
He's so adorable 🤗
Can you show how to trim the hair on the face so it’s smooth?
Yes! Working on a video about clipper work now:)
Ernie has a beautiful coat & a really nice personality
Do you have any tips for supporting my 15 year old American cocker? She gets so tired while bathing and drying.
I would suggest giving the dog lots of breaks! There are wonderful towel jackets that can keep her warm while she takes a break while wet😊
Perfeito, 🇧🇷
Thank you for continuing to make these videos. Your presentations and explanations are very helpful.
I know, it's not easy to have that monologue without the Cocker Spaniel asking if you are talking to him/her?😂
