typical mentality to make excuses to look like shit on purpose

There are in fact many standards and codes, though not strict per se, ESPECIALLY on the ranch or farm, been in ag my whole life. You show up looking like a complete weirdo, you will be shunned. It's a simple reality of life.

@@DanBCooper I don’t know what farms and ranches you’ve been on but I’ve never been anywhere that had standards and codes. You wear whatever you want. If your mixing/grinding feed, baling hay, branding, etc, who cares what hat you’re wearing? Nobody, that’s who. Same as if you want to wear leggings or not, that’s on you. Long sleeve shirt or short sleeve, that’s on you. Gloves or not, that’s on you. I don’t care if you show up in a fuckin speedo as long as you know your job, do it correctly and in a timely manner with minimal supervision. But they were talking about hats. Wear what you want when you want, that’s all I’m saying. If you care so much about fashion that wearing a straw hat after Labor Day bothers you then your nothing but a poser that I don’t want to work with.

@@DanBCooper You’re just spouting nonsense now. My comment was to emphasize that there are no codes and standards like you claim. No one would show up dressed like you described in your fantasy and you know it. Let’s get back to the actual topic. My original comment was in response to this channel’s claim that people wear cowboy hats based on fashion dates. Wearing a straw after Labor Day and that crap. So my original response still stands true, wear whatever you want whenever you want. No real person who lives or works on a farm or ranch gives a damn if you’re wearing a straw or felt. That’s for city folk to get their panties in a twist over.

I was in Houston several yrs ago and wanted to just go see the race shop in Waller. I just wanted to walk inside and when I walked inside, the lady was very cordial at the front desk and said there wasn’t anyone working today so I can look around the showroom area so I did and as I’m walking out in walks Larry. Larry gave me a complete tour ….. I’m very appreciative of that. Very nice guy
