Adjusting IAC idle recovery with Holley Terminator
Переглядів 4,3 тис.Рік тому
Engine would never die but idle real low when coming to a stop. I adjusted it to keep the idle at it's set 850 rpm at all times.

So I saw your short video where you said you had a small leak. Did you do another gasket replacement? If so, what did you do differently? I replaced my cam shaft sensor which as you probably know is under the valve cover. Two gaskets later, it's leaking again! Ugh!! Leaking oil is also causing my coolant temperature sensor to malfunction. Any advice you can give is appreciated.
Do you have a part# for this? Or what it’s actually called.
What glue did you use?
Where is the MAP sensor?
Need to get the correct rpm with the truck in drive and somebody's foot on the brake.
Im not a mechanic but you prob could have used high temp gasket sealer to repair the leak.
Thanks
LS needs 58psi fuel pressure!!
What cam would u suggest for 6.0 lq9 30 over forged summit pro pistons stock rods and stock crank. 243 heads I’m gonna be adding boost later on in the build
I like the sloppy stage 2 but don’t wanna order to small of a cam.. I know they still make good power but being I’m 370ci.. what cam would u go with ?
So you had to find a PCM that already had RTT on it to get a functional OS?
It has to be an available option
After i push the buttons and it beeps i wait a couple seconds and it turns off but it doesn’t save anything. Did i just receive a bad transmitter?
Your website is down and you haven't made any videos for over a year
Thank for sharing your feedback!
You don’t have to remove the steering column, or the instrument panel. All you remove is the knee pannel, and turn the steering wheel a quarter turn to the right. It’s a T-20 bit and a 3mm Allen head bit.
Thanks you.. I was not scary now !
So adjust the screw helped with stalling and hard start. Also what rpm are you at in drive/revers ?
How much did you charge your client? My mechanic wants 1k for the job. Says he has to pull the dash. I don’t want to insult him and show him this video.
Thank you, great how to video.
Nowhere in this stupid video did you do anything with a dam map sensor lmao I feel stupid after watching this
Did you ever do the second part 2
Thanks for posting this. It really saved me some frustration.
Sounds good Russ 👍
What company did you get the tank through
Forget the 1 to 10% every is different ive seen cars %12 %16 17% and run good
it was able to tune itself? Or u had to modify it
Dang it looks like this guy is sitting in my pickup. Except I have a radio.
A tire seller shop in southern California did this job on my 2007 Focus SE 2.0 for around $250. Within 6 months it was keaking again, although not as bad.
You have to pedal it on restarts cause your parked iac position is too low
what hot side are you running ? i have a huron hot side but turbo doesn't fit with alt there.. i bought a 45 but really makes it stick out,, i'd like it close like yours sits
I have a 2013 , this is bullshit !! i miss my 1967 cougar it was so easy, i think i will moth ball mine and sell it in 25 years for a profit 😉
At 9:52 you ask why they would do that. It's basically an auto bleeding system from what I've learned playing with the cooling system the past month. Actually a pretty cool design.
I was referring to the location. They could have put it on the passengers side making the hose shorter and more centralized. Thank you for watching.
I'm having trouble with my IAC. I have 0 at Parked Idle but picks up when I put it in drive.
Close the throttle blade some, tps autoset, start it, idle it, check iac percentage, repeat these steps until you have 5-10 %, make sure its up to temperature
Life saver... thanks. The instruction sheet that comes with the transmitter has a lot to be desired.
how do you remove the screen? I tried to heat, to force ... NOTHING!
Is it a turbo truck I hear a wine
i see you got the bellows on with out removing the housing. nice to see it can be done , I have to do mine and I thought I would have to remove it all.
4:56 stop complaining. Keeping weld or enhance it.. gilry
Great video man love your attitude!
thanks for the info! curranty trying to get my 609 to be a bigger asset to my shop.
Spec on engine?
It's a stock LM7 with gapped rings at 0.042. been running 12 lbs of boost for a few months daily driving it
How’s it driving a year later?
hell yea hotrod!
Good video i had the same issue but running good now another excellent holley teacher is joe simpson he also has a tune class one time fee unlimited access its called Tune the trilogy im a newb to holley efi and ive learned a lot he starts from basic beginner and teaches you everything and new videos are always being added its a great price at under $600 buuut sry for the book good job just keep at it 👍
Great video - thanks for sharing. Working on my overflow hose now. At 13:12, when you plug the hose into the hole at the top of the radiator beneath the drive side headlamp....any tips/trick? My hose won't go on easily, even after I lubed it up with a little coolant. Maybe it's a super tight fit; I did notice the clip/connector has a flat side. Just wondering if the hole in the radiator top also has a flat side I need to align the hose to. Anyhow, great video - kudos!
It's a tight fit, try wiggling it a bit to walk the O-ring in. The radiator itself doesn't have a flat spot in it.
Reassuring for a guy looking to get my cert since my state stopped everyone from getting refrigerant unless your certified & my school instructor made it part of my mid term
Both of these will get you the 609 license. You can do either or, or both if you like. www.ase.com/refrigerant-recovery-and-recycling-program macsmobileairclimate.org/about-609-certification/
Before levering the screen out, was it necessary to take the screws on the side out?
No, the screws stay in. The screen is heald in my double sided tape.
No stall?
I'm using the GM84 converter. It's stock for the 6.5 turbo diesel

You’re the freaking man. I was typing thermostat housing confused know damn well there’s no thermostat there
I'm glad I could help brother
Are the 4 bolts 10mm on the bypass flange that was leaking? Also, where can I find the torque specs for them?
Stop dude it’s metric
That's what someone else said. Why in the world they would use anything else then NPT is beyond me.
Hey we’re u location I would like to do my doors
