You should totally do the book called "the hate U give" it's such an amazing book about a black girl living in a white neighborhood and dealing with stereotypes and racism. I would love to you your interpretation of it!
The way you broke down Coates's "Between the World and Me" was both informative and hilarious. I loved how you used pop culture references to explain some of the more complex concepts in the book. Definitely subscribing to your channel! For those who want to delve deeper into Coates's work but don't have the time to read the whole book, our audio summary is the perfect solution! So if you're short on time but still want to join the conversation about "Between the World and Me", be sure to check out our audio summary. ua-cam.com/video/C8tNgYd7dhc/v-deo.html
I'm a senior and my class is reading this book and when my teacher was explaining the different pages I was so lost. Until I watched your videos then everything started clicking. Like these videos help so much thank you.
Bruh Coates literally says that he "felt nothing" when he watched 9/11 happened.

I'm an ELN student and these videos are really helping me a lot.
Can you please explain this part "These words would be spoken with a veneer of religious nobility, as though they evidenced some unspoken quality, some undetected courage, when in fact all they evidenced was the gun to our head and the hand in our pocket. This is how we lose our softness. This is how they steal our right to smile" what are the literary techniques are used here
PART 4 PLEASE

Hello, America an immigrant country. tragic irony that Blacks may not have come here if not for slavery. the Civil War foiught to end it. 450,000 New Yorkers died in war to free slaves. Black Amercans owe White Americans reparations for dying for their freedom.
Yea and a lot of us don’t want to be here. If he hadn’t been taken from our homes and had them destroyed they wouldn’t have had to fight for something their ancestors caused
@@j.darylcheeves-chase5652 ye, they should have let the slavery continue to happen and not fight about it
WHERES PART 4💔
This is great. You are so insightful and thorough about such an important topic. Thank you so much for this!!!
You seem like a fun teacher! Your students are so lucky!!
pg 52-62
This is the book I chose for my summer reading but I couldnt bring myself to actually sit down and read it. With everything that's been going on in the world reading a book seemed to be the least important thing going on. This really helped me out.
Excellent in-depth analysis!
apart from having such amazing teaching skills without any bias when explaining the book, he has such a good sense humor too. wish my teachers were like that (':
I wash this guy taught me when I was at school . So interesting what he is talking about. It has opened my mind. Thanks man.
i agree, this has helped me with my africana class and hopefully other students find this video
You saved my life thank you
You are an amazing teacher!! I am writing a report on this book right this minute. Thank you for your lectures!!
His students are lucky. He is awesome.
Thank you! And You are an amazing teacher, your students are very lucky!
Why do you think he was writing for the black audience specifically?
It's his experience. His personal experience doesn't apply to "the other," meaning white people.
@@justinlindemann3505 Interesting perspective. Personally, I thought that he was writing to "all", sharing his experience with everyone. In the first paragraph, he writes, " This meaning is not without interest to YOU, Gentle Reader; for the problem of the 20th ce. is the problem of the color line"--meaning the problem is the color line, and it belongs to the 20th ce. and who reside within it....meaning everyone. Anyway...just my take.
@@jenniferkerr1638 I don't disagree with you. But, as a white male, the most I can do is empathize with his experience. It's not something that I will ever understand completely or experience.
We need full chapters from you teacher
Thank you for explaining it better than my professor.

You’ve helped so much, thank you!
