I have a question about using tobacco. An older friend of the family swears by her homemade brew of some household products and chewing tobacco and she uses it in her vegetable garden. I assume that since neonicotinoids are derived from tobacco that her mix would cause the same issues in the ecosystem. Am I correct in my thought? If so, then of course she doesn’t have insects on her plants…🫠 PS Blossom end rot is more about watering issues that don’t allow the plant to take up the calcium that is usually available in the soil.
